“No one can ever tell me - if Wal-mart is do damn evil, why do millions of people shop there everyday?”

Because most believe the prices are lower. In lots of areas they may be. Not here.

Thank God we have so many old curmudgeons that refuse to change their ways. Because of them, our locally owned joints are still able to compete. The reward is shorter walk from the parking lot, no wait in lines, same or lower prices for locally produced meat and veggies.

There is a difference giving something to one who has no part of the business. Employees are part of the company and should be treated with respect.

Your wife wasn’t part of your marriage? You would treat her with less deferance than you would treat an employee??

I’m married with 6 children. I am pursuing my degree in Criminal Justice and hope to obtain all the the way to my Masters. I have been a religious and political writer for 13 years. As well as a published and awarded poet.

So I guess screwing his ex wife and children out of a decent living is OK for this 'relgious' writer and poet

Starting to smell more and more like troll around here

"In Marion a few years back, 3M told the employees to take a union vote. Then gave them a 3 day break. When the workers got back, the doors were locked and the equipment was gone"

This story is BS

TROLL ALERT

You are even more thick headed than Michelle Obama’s backside. How about quitting working for some company that you feel does not give you what you think is proper respect?

Go find one that does. No company forces you to work there. You pout as though you are a great gift to any employer. As much as you whine I suspect you want all kinds of something for nothing and you seem to think that a union is going to do that for you.

Instead you have offered proof yourself that the companys will just close shop rather than end up like Detroit.

I guess you want the government to force companies to hire you and stay in business while they watch the unions suck the life out of them.

"Never have. I don’t believe that anyman is worth 35-40 dollars and hour. "

I am a man.

I am worth WAY more than 35 - 40 dollars an hour.

I have proven it many times over.

No brag, just fact.

The ex was my first wife, no children involved. And our life or divorce is not up for discussion.

I’m not b**ching, I do alright with what I make and support a family. But there are many I know that can’t, and not many choice for employment here. Huntington County has the 4th largest unemployment rate in the state.

Unions had a purpose once.

Now they are just parasites that suck the life out of everything that they touch.

I was a union member once... Never again.

My wife was part of the marriage not the company. I don’t mix family and work.

Your union buddies are doing a wonderful job for Huntington County aren't they? At least there is a job at WalMart. Anybody who is too qualified to work there should work someplace else. WalMart pays what their employees are worth. It is just that most are not worth any more. It is just the Obeyme supporters who think a company is obligated to pay more than an employee is worth, just because the company can afford it.

Worked at Walmart as a second job to pay for a disabled son’s medical when my factory insurance ran out.

You mean your mighty union let your insurance run out? Sounds like they are no better than WalMart.

It wasn’t the union, it was the insurance company. And for anyone’s desire to know, I have 2 disabled children. The one that killed the insurance had 3 open heart surgeries in his first year and spent 2 months in NICU. If it wasn’t for the union there, I would have lost my job for taking time off to be with him.

You get what you pay for, right shibumi?

I've made that much and more an hour and those who were paying me knew I was worth it.
A man who doesn't think he's worth that much, ain't.

Oh yeah, then why are you whining?

Who in their right mind would take on the responsibility and own a damn business if the employees get all the money?

Especially if the union tells them that they are going to take their profit and give it to those that have no responsibilty other than to show up?

You make me sick. You are the problem because you think that you are owed a living merely because you exist and you have messed up your own life.
