There’s no “care” about it, whether “Obamacare” or “Health Care.”

It’s Socialized Medicine. Period.

I just googled those words and saw the pic. I had never seen it before. But it doesn’t look offensive to my eyes.

I will not be popular, but I want to ask you this question. What is wrong with making people pay for BASIC , CATASTROPHIC HEALTCARE? I know young people don’t think they will get sick..but they do. Then, who pays? WE DO anyway.

My hairdresser is married. She and her hubby own their business. Probably don’t bring in much right now. They own a small house, two vehicles and have two children.

She gets pregnant with TWINS! I asked her if she had health insurance. She said NO. She winds up going on State Medicaid. Isthat right? If she and her family had to come up with a few hundred a month for catastophic, I’m sure they could find it. I know she takes vacations, etc.

It’s this kind of thing that drives me crazy. We’re going to pay one way or another.

What say you?

“What is wrong with making people pay for BASIC , CATASTROPHIC HEALTCARE?”

Name a single Constitutional item that says a free people must buy anything. Name a single concept of freedom where the masses tell someone what to buy. Name a single government program that stopped at “reasonable”. What say YOU!

I understand that. I’m saying it’s something that must be addressed as we try to figure out how to bring down COSTS in our healthcare system. It just infuriates me because people don’t want to pay for anything they don’t see. But when they need it, we wind up paying the tab.

What is wrong with telling you where to live? Or perhaps telling you that you MUST take in a homeless person as the alternative is that we all must pay for him or her. Or perhaps, what is wrong with Gov’t telling you that you MUST purchase a GM car, because if you don’t the company will fail and we will ALL pay the price.

What is wrong with giving Gov’t total control over all you do? Perhaps you might do something wrong or need something and we’d ALL have to pay for it.

“It’s this kind of thing that drives me crazy. We’re going to pay one way or another.”

P.S. You lazy fat ass. Yes, YOU! I think you are too fat, lazy, and out of shape, so, you WILL join me at 5:00am each morning in the community excercise yard because I am NOT paying for your lazy fat ass to sit around and cost me money in medical expenses! We will establsih minimum health and fitness guidlines and you will run not less than 15 miles each week and be able to do 50 situps in 1 minutes, 100 pushups in 2 minutes, and 20 pullups. Well see if you are still costing me money after all that and if we should up the standards and include such things as weight lifting.

Why don’t you ask why anyone is paying for anyone else’s medical expenses instead of thinking of ways to stomp on individual liberties before we think of ways to make your life a living Hell with Marxism. I mean, if we are going to tell each other what to do I am going to chime in my way and you’re not going to like it!

This is just the latest on the ‘slippery slope’ that is now quite steep.

Gov’t has NO place in addressing this. It was Gov’t that RAISED these costs, starting with MediCare/MedicAid, then forcing doctors to see people regardless of ability to pay.

Medical is in the shape it is in BECAUSE of Gov’t and you want more of it. Look at the mortgage industry, they were forced to give loans, because people have a ‘right’ to homes, even if they can’t pay for them. Now where is that mess, and we want Gov’t to do even more. I say HANDS OFF, BIG GOV’T, what say you?

A neighbor’s daughter is pregnant with her second child.

Unmarried, why? She can get the gov. to pay for the birth. If she married her and husband would bear financial responsibility.

The girl’s parents, my neighbors, are all for it. Both from military families.
Obama voters BTW.

When I took early retirement I tried to get catastrophic. I was willing to pay 5,000. - 10,000. deductible, pay all doctors & prescriptions. No one would offer it to me. They all wanted to ring in something I was willing to forego. I believe the system would be better off if more would pay as they go. My cobra will be up in May so if you know just where I can get this type of catastrophic insurance I sure would appreciate it. My experience would lead me to believe it no longer exists.

Perhaps we should have the Gov’t require permanent sterilization after a single out of wedlock birth? I mean, if not we all have to pay for it.

I am being harsh to try to drive home the point that Marxism is not the answer. The costs of healthcare is on the rise due to government interference as it is. We had fine healthcare for decades until the government got involved.

Did you know that companies cannot form national health plans but must form companies within each State and not every company can participate in every State? Goverment regulation.

I could go on and one about government regulation strangling medical care, but the bottom line is government is not the answer.
