George W. Bush: Man of the Decade
Neoavatara ^ | December 28, 2009 | Neoavatara

Posted on 12/28/2009 7:04:54 AM PST by Neoavatara

Clearly, this is my month to really annoy liberals. After picking Rush Limbaugh as Man of the Year, I pick the liberal version of Satan as man of the decade. But again, I ask you, read my arguments, and then make up your mind...

Most decades are defined by the Presidents who dominate them. FDR dominated the 30s and 40s. Eisenhower the fifties, LBJ the sixties. The Seventies were the decade of incompetence. The eighties clearly was Ronald Reagan's, and Clinton dominated the nineties. In the same way, for good or ill, President George W. Bush had the most profound affect on the last decade, and that is why he is clearly my person of the decade.

exactly as starwise said, Neoavatara...I loved your piece until I saw the tired ol’ “Bush was responsible for poor response to Katrina”....

but then you possibly haven’t been keeping the best company, or been exposed to all the facts, just recently having become a FReeper. Welcome and keep up the nice work!

We needed the oil for war.

Well no kidding....Our dependence on OPEC is bleeding us dry. There are many actions that the Bush administration and the GOP could have taken to relieve this burden on our nation. He did not. Ask yourself why.

AMEN, Freedom'sWorthIt!

I thank God all the time for God's mercy in giving us George W. Bush to lead us through those dark days.

We had many safe years because of his leadership, and most of us will NEVER forget that fact.

George W. Bush was pushing for more domestic oil during his entire Presidency. It certainly wasn’t he, or the GOP, that continually stood in the way of that.

I don't, so I'll keep posting what you so crudely label "BS" but is in truth, verified by every person who knows the man. He's a man of unquestioned integrity.

From Wiki: Integrity as a concept has to do with perceived consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcome.

Oh, good. Moon Unit is back with his DU photo collection.

We're in for a treat, people. It's FR's own leftist Bush hater who's come riding in on his silver steed to help us understand, DU fashion, how dopey President Bush is.

Nothing to see here.............move along.

(btw, I played this dueling photo game once before, and won hands down. I may start it up just to post a few of the thousands of photos showing the deep character and integrity of George W. Bush. Moon Unit can't win this game).

Ah yes..........holding up an ear of corn is a sure sign that President Bush is a bad man.

How can we win against such searing logic? LOL!

Borrowed from another thread....

INTEGRITY

One of thousands of photos. Thousands.

(And none of them extricated from leftist websites, like moonman's)

Are you speaking of the banner? You mean the one the sailors put up because THEIR mission was accomplished?

That banner?

Sorry you lose.

The photo war will not work. For every nice photo you post there are twice as many others that will defeat your purpose.

AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM: BUSH PROVED that he was a political animal not a leader.

You don’t need to threaten fellow FReepers. There’s lots of other posts and threads to read and comment on.

You can relax knowing that Obama has replaced President Bush and that Olberman, Garafalo, and Stewart will continue to make these comments for you.

If the shoe fits wear it.

GWB had the power of the bully pulpit and a majority in Congress to defend and promote his plans...for most of his Presidency...and he let the ball drop and the shoe hit him....and the Dems defeat him.

Oh stop bloviating.

If you really stop and think about it and not just react emotionally -— there’s not a whole lot of difference between Zero and Dubya.

They must have disobeyed his orders to take it down. They probably thought his orders carried the same weight as one of his veto threats.
