ONLY CONGRESS KNOWS FOR SURE...CONGRESS SCOFFS, SHRUGS, AND SPINS, WHEN ASKED ABOUT OBAMACARE'S CONSTITUTIONALITY

How depressing it is to hear the contorted logic, from our leaders in Congress, when asked to site the portion of the Constitution that gives the federal government authority to force a citizen to purchase a health insurance policy...

"WHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION DOES GOVERNMENT HAVE POWER TO MANDATE PURCHASE OF HEALTH CARE INSURANCE?"

That's easy to answer. It is not in The Constitution.

I aksed Harry Reid the very same question - and attached a copy of the Constitution in case he couldn't find his. I'll let you know when he responds.

I’m sure that this is going to be litigated in front of SCOTUS ...

What they will decide, who knows ???

SCOTUS has NEVER ruled that the people can be forced to buy a good or service.

If SCOTUS DOES rule in favor of the healthcare bill, it will be a slippery slope. It will have sent a precedent under stare decisis that could have far-reaching effects ...

Such as requiring ALL new car purchases to be Chrysler or GM ...

Congress is no longer a valid governing entity. They have sold us down the river by borrowing us into endless debt repayment. Our economy will not recover from this debt shock until it defaults, restructures and recovers. I'll estimate that to take 30 to 50 years...

We need to dismantle the federal government and replace it with a VERY limited form of Federal administration with all political power in the hands of the PEOPLE at the state level.

I'm sure he could quickly produce his copy of the Communist Manifesto.

Where in the Constitution does it say that the US Congress and the President has the right to ration care and deny care to American citizens for the express purpose of shipping them off to hospice centers to die. They want to pick and choose who lives in this free country from cradle to grave. Sound sinister? Sound like a plot? Sound like Germany 1937?

Please direct your questions and outrage to Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Rahm and his brother, Mengele, or any member of the US Congress that voted for this Holocaust!

If SCOTUS can’t enforce the natural born clause, then I doubt they can do anything about what Congress does. We will get a full fledged tyranny before those 9 robed wonders do anything.

It’s not mandated - rather an inherited right.

The Amendment between 1&3

This right is the only health care U.S. citizens need from the government.

Here in Wisconsin my “heath care” rights are in severe jeopardy - please help!!

We can only wait and watch for now. Congress does have the power to offset Supreme Court decisions but I would not count on this current bunch to do the right thing.

Sadly, liberal judges and politicians have made the Constitution irrelevant. It has been so distorted and twisted through liberal interpretation over the past century, it might as well no longer exist.

The concept of it being a “living, breathing document” has ironically killed it.

I would sure like to know, and I would like to know how and who should have standing in court to challenge it.

I have been shocked before when cases are dismissed for lack of standing when you would think something that affects ever single person in the country would mean everyone has standing.

Lawyers and Judges, easy to hate.

Obama is part of a long line of enemies of the state who look at the Constitution as a piece of paper. It is too bad that we cannot hold a referendum vote like they do in other countries when they decide if their president must be removed from office before their term is up. Now I know how nasty the Left felt about President Bush. The Left must be amused that the shoe is on the other foot.
