Sarah Palins pet project got a huge boost today. An independent group, Environment Canada gave the green light for the US-Canada pipeline.
Environment Canada studied the environmental and social impact of the 2,760-kilometre pipeline (1,700 in Canada & 1,060 in Alaska) and determined that the project "would provide the foundation for a sustainable northern future. The challenge to all will be to build on that foundation."

This will be a huge asset to her campaign if she runs for President. Energy Dependence is what she said America needed and this is a huge step for it. This is her baby and it is something that the Obama can’t take credit for. This is a Positive for her on a large scale. What has Obama achieved that has been beneficial to all Americans compared to Palins Pipeline? Nothing.
Note to Obama and the ignorant, insane Democrats: This is what you call a jobs program.
Citizen Palin pushes the country foward as President Obama drags it back.
Last I read it is supposed to fully operational by 2018.
This is NOT Sarah Palin’s pipeline. The Mackenzie Valley Pipeline and the AGIA Alaskan Natural Gas Pipeline (Palin’s) are two entirely different projects which will access different natural gas fields.
The AGIA pipeline will access gas fields in Alaska’s North Slope, while the Mackenzie Gas Project will provide access to Canadian Arctic gas from the Beaufort Sea and Mackenzie Delta.
Mackenzie will connect with Alberta’s existing and extensive pipeline infrastructure, while that is not in the current plans for the AGIA line, AFIK.
Both the Mackenzie Gas Project and the Alaska Gas Pipeline will be needed to meet future energy demands for North America as the emphasis on replacing coal for generating electricity and fuel oil for heating comes into sharper focus in the years ahead.
