To be fair ... maybe it was Groucho, or Heppo, or one of the other ‘luvable’ Marxes... And not the doofus Karl (although to be fair to Karl - he wasn’t one of the insane bastards who actually tried to implement his theories. For all I know he was just a satirist and he never dreamed anyone would take his ‘jokes’ seriously)...

Again, I don't know exactly what he meant -- but it seems like Marx was just promoting a theory for debate, and he was appalled by the folks who were invoking his name while justifying their insurrections (e.g., the period of the Paris communes in 1871)...

When I was a kid, I had a Marx model train set. Marx was the name of the manufacturer. Perhaps the vanity plate owner is a model train enthusiast?
