10. Canadian health boards wanted four more years of having somewhere to send their citizens to get medical care.

9. The benefits were supposed to start sooner but Senator Baucus had a few too many before writing the bill.

8. Harry Reid doesn’t care that 20.5 million people will lose health insurance between now and then.

7. To ensure Obama can run for reelection before the health care disaster hits (oh wait…not a joke).

6. To give the Democrats time to reinstall the inheritance tax before the death panels get going.

The bottom line is that America will be forced to pay for it and yet get nothing in the way of any better form of service for 4 years.

Yeah, and setting that example I may just as well head down to the dealership and buy a new truck, make the down payment, pay the yearly mandatory insurance and not once be able to drive it, and if I miss a payment IRS will seize all my assets and sell them off and put me in prison.

We’re paying for 4 years in advance to:
1.) drive the economy down and create a new crisis for Osama
2.) increase the “demand” to “do something”
3.) the taxes imposed will (hopefully) give China a warm fuzzy so they’ll keep giving us money.

Social Security is belly up and they won't let it die.

Medicare and Medicaid are bankrupt and they won't let go of it.

Food Stamps has turned into Treasury Notes for Food. The General Fund where all of these programs pull from as well as our Governments entire operating budget has been in the red for probably 30 years.

Now they are at the door again with Health Care and Cap & Trade...Neither one offers us anything, but will tax us heavily.

We need to start abolishing programs instead of creating new ones. What kind of politicians could sell that to the public and get elected when 47% of the population has their hand out for something they refuse to earn???

IT IS A BOOK KEEPING GAME TO MAKE IT APPEAR THAT THIS PROGRAM WILL COST LESS THAN A TRILLION DOLLARS... NO EXPENDITURES FOR 4 YEARS MEANS MONEY COMING IN AND NONE GOING OUT... THEREFORE IT APPEARS THAT OVER TEN YEARS IT COSTS LESS... BUT IN REALITY IT WILL COST UPWARDS OF 10 TRILLION DOLLARS.

Yeah, it is 10 years of taxes for a six year program. GOP should be pointing out the cost year 5-15. It is not going to be a pretty picture.

Anybody who thinks they will get anything in 4 years is a sucker......they have NO intention of delivering.

This is merely a tax bill with a different name hung on it so as to avoid the sticky explanations in an election year.

I think they do intend on delivering, but only to ozero voters. Their plan seems to be to follow karl marx to the letter. From those according to their ability( tax the snot out of non ozero supporters) to those according to their need (delivering services to ozero types). They will politicize this just like they do every other issue. Remember the car dealers that got sacked.
