This photo below was taken at a competition in June 2008. The competition was between 9 women for best makeover.
They had every possible beauty treatment available to them over a period of 12 hours before the contest.
Look at the before and after photos. Conclusion - there are no ugly women only poor women.

I think Kelly, Cindy, Merlina and Cristina look fine in the before photos.
... Also... Belinda and Rachel seem to have lost a ton of weight, and Beth seems to have had a boob job. Only Sarina and Marnie really seem to have benefited from the makeover. I think the author simply equates plastic and rich with beautiful.
So does beer.
hopefully they retain their sense of low self esteem.

I’d say almost the opposite: At 16, few girls are ugly, unless they make themselves so by hating themselves or the world. It’s all about poise, confidence and attitude. When I went to my first pro-life march in my late twenties, I joked, “Wow... I wish I’d’ve come when I was in college,” because there were tens of thousands of 16-25-year-old women and not a one of them unattractive. On the other hand, the anti-war demonstrators and socialists, etc... yiiiish!
It didn’t have to do with personal beautification... the prolifers tended to look much more natural. Some small measure of that may have to do with the healthier environs of red states. Seriously, I think this is what it had to do with: The leftists saw their bodies as a canvass, and often the painter was expressing hatred and anger. The prolifers simply let God and nature make themselves beautiful.
Please note that this is extreme generalization, looking only at the politicized extremes of both groups. This is not at all to say that all blue-staters or all liberals are physically unattractive, or that all red-staters or conservatives are physically attractive.
Well, some happy husbands for a few hours, at least.
Also know who YOU are. Perhaps women going after “boys” instead of “men” is also part of the problem, but that problem is societal in nature.

After their “make-overs” they all look the same: like cheap strippers. They get horrible hair extensions, spray-tans, fake boobs and really hideously tacky dresses! Not to mention that slightly melted surprised look from the botox, fillers, injectibles, etc...I smoke and drink but I also am religious about skin care, drink lots of water and eat well. I always get guessed at looking younger and get compliments on my skin, however I can’t always walk around with make-up on and be dressed nicely. The “before” pictures where probably taken at 7:00 a.m.! What the hell do men expect?! Y’all have lived/loved women haven’t you? ;-)

But who cares? Men are visual. That’s why porn works so well with men. Look at these celebrities who are caught without makeup and look like crap. Truth is, a tan, a new hairstyle, and a little make-up (properly applied) can go a long way towards making a woman more sexually appealing to a man.
Judge if you want, but that’s just the way men are wired.
This is one reason why *some* men end up taking mistresses. Women fail to understand the visual nature of men. Most men *like* it when a woman puts in a little effort to look “hot.”
Let me ask a question: why do most women get all dolled up on their wedding day? To look beautiful, right? So, subjectively, just by putting in the effort on your wedding day, it is possible for you to be MORE beautiful some times than others. What man in his right mind would actually PREFER his wife to choose the less beautiful option all the time? Very few.
I know, I know - women don’t have the time every day to get all dolled up. Housewives has chores and kids and blah blah blah.
But I’ll tell you want: husbands go to work where some women make the effort day in and day out to look “put together” in the workplace. As I said, men are visual. They look at that and... well... you get the idea.
There is nothing wrong with getting dolled up. You don’t have to dress in an evening gown every day, but some basic maintenance can go a long way. Same goes for guys.
Finally - for the record - I think my wife is hot, even when she isn’t put together. Make no mistake, though, when it comes to downright physical attraction, it’s *usually* not when she looks like she just woke up.
She is a Blessing from god..........hard to matchup with that!
