Have you even read a transcript...in context...of what Pat said about Haiti??? What he said was in no way insensitive or offensive to the people living in Haiti today. He was putting the desperation of Haiti, before the quake, into some kind of context.
I think Pat Robertson deserves plenty of criticism given his overall PR myopia, but commentators twisted this Haiti line into something malicious when it was not intended that way.
One thing that amuses me is that by giving weight to a supposed voodoo pact with Satan he is in sense validating voodoo as something that has real power, where as atheistic liberals presumably dismiss it as a goofy cultural artifact.

Pat Robertson’s only mistake is not understanding that MSM views attacking him as a recreational sport. They can’t wait to do it.
Pat Robinson is correct in speaking about the bad curse on hatiti. I studied a semester in college about the culture of Haiti ,slaves, voodoo dolls & curses. Maybe Mr. robinson said his words to fast with out proper facts but they were truely spoken.
Hawaii lore has many of the same beliefs.
I ubderstand exactly what he was trying to say. The culture on those islands go way back to witch believes.
Who are his handlers? What were they thinking?
Doesn’t he have any one in his organization that can tell him NO? Don’t his producers know about 10 second delay?
Is there a power struggle in his organization? Is that why the organization appears rudderless and him like geriatric Tiberius on the Isle of Capri completely cut off from reality? Don’t any of his people care about his legacy?
Poor Pat has definitely lost some marbles lately. He is like politicians who just won’t retire. He makes a complete and utter fool of himself and when he does eventually retire or go up to Heaven, he will only be remembered by his stupid idiotic statements and not for the good he has done. Pity but Pat does it to himelf. I really feel sorry for those suckers that watch his show and send him money...those are some weak minded folks there.
