Patrick Kennedy Repeatedly Gets Martha Coakley's Name Wrong after Rally for Her

Drudge Report is headlining news that Democrat Patrick Kennedy - son of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy - does not even know the name of Democrat Candidate Martha Coakley.

Hotline on Call reports that yesterday, after a rally for Coakley, Kennedy repeatedly referred to her as "Marcia" rather than "Martha":

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), speaking with a gaggle of reporters after the event, said that while state Sen. Scott Brown (R) offers voters a quick fix, in reality, the problems created by "George Bush and his cronies" are not so easily solved.

"If you think there's magic out there and things can be turned around overnight, then you would vote for someone who could promise you that, like Scott Brown," Kennedy said. "If you don't, if you know that it takes eight years for George Bush and his cronies to put our country into this hole ... then you know we have a lot of digging to do, but some work needs to be done and this president's in the process of doing it and we need to get Marcia Coakley to help him to do that."

(Curiously, Kennedy mentioned Coakley repeatedly during his remarks to reporters, each time referring to her as "Marcia," not "Martha.") . . . MORE

At least it was her first name. Calling her Martha Moxley, now that would have been a hoot!

What a self-chosen embarrassment to Rhode Island
and the Providence Plantations.

You cant blame poor Patches for being drunk again! Its in his DNA. The Kennedys are American royalty, dont you know. Bootleggers, anti-semites, murderers, child molesters, alcoholics, drug addicts, and massive hypocrites. Yep, real royalty those Kennedys.

In the election of 2016 the Donks will drag out George W. Bush and bash him for something he never did. The Donks are so gullible.

Young Kennedy's aren't the brightest bulbs in the pack... in spite of being “elite” royalty worthy of Camelot and greatness and destiny... and compounds and touch football with “journalists”...

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in the Kennedy family. His dad did this all the time. When you’re a Kennedy, remembering the names of the little people is not a consideration.

Patches of course being the nickname placed on him by Howie Carr; inspired by the early 70s hit Patches by Clarence Carter. My parody lyrics, written awhile back:

My papa was a drunk old man
I could see him with the Chivas in his hand
He put a blonde in the pond
Didn’t think he did anything wrong
Never spent any time in jail
Got re-elected without fail

Oh life’s not easy for a Kennedy
The booze and the broads and the pills you see
One night Pappy took me to his dyin’ bed
Poured himself a Chivas and with tears he said
He said, Patches I’m dependin’ on you son
To pull the family through
My son it’s all left up to you

I heard a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat (with a Ph.D. no less) opine that he was going to vote for “Moakley” because he was upset that the Scott Brown campaign had called him twice. He was stunned to learn that Joe Moakley wasn’t running because he died on May 28, 2001!

Sometimes these folks are not known for their brains I guess. Remember when his cousin Kathleen was running for gov. of MD in 2002 and mispronounced the name of her own running mate?? How embarrassing. She still managed to get 48% of the vote but her defeat was one of the best things about the ‘02 election.
