Warren nails it again. Somebody ought to nominate this guy for a Pulitzer.

Even Obama’s phony “one-term president” bloviation was a backhanded jab at Bush. Clearly, Granddaddy and Grandmommy taught little Barry that he could do no wrong — everything was someone else’s fault. What a pathetic excuse for a man.

If I had wanted a President who complains about the past, I would have voted for my ex-wife.

For his next act, the cold, detached, liberal elitist Obama is going to play populist. Like Carter in a cardigan sweater, it won’t work. He’ll come across as whiny and pouting. People want their President to act Presidential.

Even Obama’s phony “one-term president” bloviation was a backhanded jab at Bush.

Excuse me, but my take was it was a backhand to billyjeff. The question was couched in the similarities between 1994 and 2010. His response was directed at Clinton, who he saw as a mediocrity by not standing tall for healthcare reform, but rather saving his presidency. After hearing this quote and the following rationale, “the difference is they have me now”, I immediately started counting the days that Hillary will leave the administration and provide leadership to the Dem party. There is only one Dem wing functional at this point and its the Clinton Wing. With dead Ted dead and his heir apparent a complete disaster to Dems, the Kennedy wing is now buired at the bottom of the sea in an oldsmobile (note: there are no more oldsmobiles being made). So the only moderately competent history that Dems can now turn to is the Clinton wing. Bammy’s statement I believe has caused a schism in leftville that will metastasize over the next 10 months. Remember, Scott Brown took 22% of the Dem vote plus 75% of the independents. The weakest plank in the Dem family is currently white blue collar voters. These are Hillary’s strength. The stupidity of bammy is that he publically insulted Bill, Hill and all their followers and called them a mediocrity. If I know the Clintons, they don’t cotton much to being pilloried. Look for Hillary to step down from SOS to spend more time with her family real soon.

Great analysis, and I think you are very likely right — it was aimed at Billy Boy. I had only heard the excerpt, but now that you put it in context, that is excellent.

The real difficult questions remain: how can Hillary run against bammy and not destroy the black Dem vote? Without the black vote, Dems are sunk at the ballot box anyway. How can Hillary win without Illinois? She already has the NY/NE area in her pocket, but how does compete in the Mid West, given Chicago’s hold on the WH? Which way is California going to go? Given this rough outline, I would say Hillary is going to have to find a way to triangulate hispanic voters against black voters to have a plausible path to the WH. If she were to run against bammy in the primaries, she would have to focus on southern Dems which are largely black to win the nomination. If she can get past the Southern primaries I believe she would win the nomination. My guess, and its a guess, is hispanics and white blue collars would have to make up Hillary’s core. I don’t know how she can pander to blacks given bammy’s race card, but I know one thing, the Clintons will try. Its funny, but the Dem party is being consumed by the tactics it always employed; racial gerrymandering, racial and ethnic pandering. I think she could plausibly win the nomination, but would lose the general. Dems will be freaking by then.
