The Hill today is reporting that Harry Reid will be using the Reconciliation process to pass ObamaCare. The Democrats, who have been offering “bipartisanship,” apparently see the meeting on the 25th as a formality. They actually intend on having a bill done within the next 60 days.

Democrats will finish their health reform efforts within the next two months by using a majority-vote maneuver in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said.
“I’ve had many conversations this week with the president, his chief of staff, and Speaker Pelosi,” Reid said during an appearance Friday evening on “Face to Face with Jon Ralston” in Nevada. “And we’re really trying to move forward on this.”
“We’ll do a relatively small bill to take care of what we’ve already done,” Reid said, affirming that Democrats would use the reconciliation process. “We’re going to have that done in the next 60 days.”
Reid said that the final Democratic bill is likely to be unveiled Monday night.
Many of us have been predicting that the upcoming meeting is a sham, and that the Democrats are only doing it for appearances. This only confirms our thinking. The Democrats fear that their majorities are gone in November, so they are going to try to ram something through no matter what.
I believe that they are doing this for the purposes of immortality. They know that a government program, once passed, is virtually indestructible. The pressure that the left can wield against a future Congress administration is considerable. The rent-a-mob can be deployed, and the MSM will spout the party line 24-7. They will wage their typical propaganda and intimidation campaigns in an effort to maintain their power.
That’s where we come in. Of course, the GOP needs to state and restate their position. They MUST attempt to communicate with the people. In return, we have to support those elected officials that have supported us and what we believe. If the rent-a-mob shows up, we show up too. The days of complacency are over-for all time. The past year only shows that tyranny has crept in for decades, and Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are only dining at the table that has been set for them. As Jefferson said, “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” I think we understand that now.
We had our 6 month check ups (because of the meds we take) and a new sign was up in our doc's office, that IF Medicare was your only health ins, then you had to pay the difference UP FRONT before the doctor's visit. I can't blame the doctor, the re-imbursment barely covers his overhead cost. And they are talking about dropping it from 80% to 60%.

What bothers me the most in all this, is where is the strong denouncing of these Chicago thugs by Republicans? Is there not a Jesse Helms amongst them?
Are they guys totally ignorant of the polls? Pushing Obamacare through Congress like this could make Democrats an endangered species. I would think that state Democratic parties are shaking in their shoes at the fallout from this kind of crap from Democrats in Congress.
Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)
New Dem mantra: Woof, woof eat dog food granny....ala let them eat cake.

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.
“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

Reid isn't going to backdoor jack. The Senate votes are not there, and the AMERICAN PEOPLE DON'T WANT WANT THESE 3 GOOFS ARE PUSHIN'.

...never said I thought they’d have the guts to do anything. Just what I thought they should do. They got a smooth, clean pass to gather some “guts” with the VA, NJ, MA dem debacle. They STILL don’t get it! Doesn’t seem that 95% of Washington does. They will in November.
But I thought he said it was the economy stupid and that’s our #1 priority.
