Jobs Bill (Brown's Blog, Freep Away)
Brown Brigade ^ | 02/22/10 | Scott Brown

Posted on 02/23/2010 6:42:47 AM PST by nhwingut

I came to Washington to be an independent voice, to put politics aside, and to do everything in my power to help create jobs for Massachusetts families. This Senate jobs bill is not perfect. I wish the tax cuts were deeper and broader, but I voted for it because it contains measures that will help put people back to work.

I was disappointed with the continuation of politics-as-usual in the drafting of this bill, as it was crafted behind closed doors, without transparency and accountability. I hope for improvements in that process going forward. All of us, Republicans and Democrats, have to work together to get our economy back on track. I hope my vote today is a strong step toward restoring bipartisanship in Washington.

I can’t get to his blog from work. Hopefully someone is posting to him that giving companies tax credits to hire people or to not lay them off doesn’t create jobs, and puts out kids even more in debt.

Really now... what did you expect? John McCain is his mentor... thus begins Brown’s dance with DC politics.

I could be wrong, but this looks like a smart move for him. It’s a relatively small way to show that he isn’t just a “party line” guy. Important for a republican from his state.

A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.

He’s doing what a blue state Repuke has to do. Going with the flow. This is fine as long as he doesn’t think he can run for prez. It won’t work. We want Palin and that’s it. She can win, she will fight, she doesn’t back down, whenever they think they have her boxed in she ends up winning the round, and she actually WANTS to beat them into submission. And only dead fish go with the flow.

Laura Ingraham was just talking about how Brown said the problem was spending... then goes and votes for more spending. She’s right- he went on and on about spending. I guess it was all an act (surprise!) I can be so naive sometimes, but I didnt jump on the Brown bandwagon. I am glad he won, but he’s just abother hack. His interview with Barbara Walter said it all. He couldn;t even criticize Obama!

Come on, give the guy a break. Scott Brown is NOT going to have a 90+ ACU rating. Get over it. He's from Massachusetts for crying out loud. If there was any bill he could easily show his independence it was that bill. I actually thought it was a smart vote on his part.

Sheesh, Brown is a quantum leap upgrade over fat-Teddy and you people are STILL getting all over him. Get real. I want Brown to get reelected a few times, not painted as Newt Gingrich's evil spawn.

What did Brown say during his campaign? Stop the spending. What is he doing now? He’s following the Obama magic. Say one thing, do another. Works for Obama. Spending will stop. Only question is will it stop with a heart attack or a long slow debilitating disease. Brown isn’t part of the solution, and anybody expected him to be was naive.

Well, it didn’t take long for the “business politics” as usual to get their teeth into him, now did it ? Same old spend
the tax payers money, (they no longer have) as usual....look for more to come.
