A nationally-recognized physician has written a stunning article in which she says that two-thirds of the government takeover of healthcare is already law under the provisions of the stimulus package approved by Congress last year.
She further asserts that the bill that is now being debated, which Obama unleashed yesterday morning, is the dreaded 'third rail' that will effectively seize the remaining third of the industry that is not under government control.
While most citizens, including conservatives such as this writer, were focused on the avalanche of proposals with which Obama and company bombarded Congress last year, apparently the fact that hidden within the massive trillion-dollar stimulus package, which most Congressmen and Senators never bothered to read, was a key healthcare provision that was overlooked.

I’m with you
I hink it would be a good time to buy stock in a pictchfork company
These people are beggine for a new revolution- the hard part is over, we already have (had) a good comstitution we can enact.
I really despise this president. I work in healthcare and he is going to destroy it completely.
Is there no end to the dem deception in this admin? If these things were in fact hidden in the stim bill, it needs to be brought into the light! I only recently found out that the fed & state employees WERE helped by the stim bill...while they refused to give any to the private sector!
These Alinsky “wanna be’s” who are looking for that evolutionary take over, can shove it up their hindsides, because I’m not standing for this! And just wait until their lame butts get voted out - I wonder how they plan to spend their retirement? I have a bit of advice for them...you’d best stay clear of any public office!
Only for Americans. Obama is giving free health
care to Puerto Ricans, Samoans (for Pelosi’s company
there), all paid for by American taxpayers.
Great article. Very upsetting.
Send to everyone you know.
Rats are scum of the earth ping.
Seen this?
Couldn’t find the beef in that article. i think its way overblown. Another attempt at getting people to take their eye off the ball.
The only thing I know of in the stimulus is a bunch of regulatory mumbo jumbo making it harder and harder to comply with all the rules and easier to get fined.
That will have the typical liberal effect favoring big business only the large can spread out the compliance costs far enough to stay competitive.
if I missed the beef could someone give a link. No video here in cube land.
I couldn’t find the “details” in her article. It would be nice if she mentioned particular sections of the stimulus bill that addresses her concerns, but I don’t see it.

Rename, repackage, rewrite it a tad smaller, and sell another pig in a poke.
Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollees cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009
Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
Snip
The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.
Snip
Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.
President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees in fiscal 2010, Matz said. We took them at their word, and I cant believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward, he added.
Bambi doesn't keep his promises...so buyer beware.
I know there is stuff in the section on Electronic Medical Records that is pretty onerous on insurers.
She is not the first to say such things.
Here, go get educated.
I saw a Fox News program about this. The reporter was asking Arlen Specter (then a Republican) about this. He got that "deer in the headlights" look and assured the reporter her allegations would be removed from the porkulus bill. Sure you did Arlen.
Now it's too late. Y'all shudda been paying attention a year ago. We might have stopped this. But everybody was all upset about the porkulus bill and nobama and Daschle screwed us but good.
The details refer to the HR version. The actual passed version is here (Needs Internet Explorer):

The references posted on Page 3 of the Dr.’s letter do NOT match the actual passed bill (Wrong page numbers, and I don’t know what else...)
Check the actual Passed bill above to see if what she claims is still in there...
