Yeah, yeah, we all know that Avatar's going to get some lovin' at the Oscars, but did you know just how mushy the FAR LEFT is about James Cameron's offensive, cliche-filled, America-bashing, Earth-worshipping money-maker... and WHY?

WHY?
Indians defeated the Cowboys this time?
It was the typical leftist drivel of the ``eeeevullll'' rich versus the oppressed pure poor. Nothing more than the usual demonizing of those who actually create the world's wealth.
Thankfully I spent not a penny on this trashy movie and quickly switched over to enjoy some fine country music.
...and with the anniversary of the White Star Line's ship sinking on 14 April fast approaching, I'll recommend ``A Night to Remember'' as a better (though still flawed) depiction of that event without the smut in Cameron's effort.
One more comment to ad on this matter. ``Avatar'' is a 20th Century Fox release. I've long been suspicious of Rupert Murdoch and his various enterprises.
In fact, I've been noticing a subtle leftward tilt on the Fox News Channel over the past few years. Bill O'Reilly has long embraced a form of socialism (for ``the folks'') masked by his populism. Glenn Beck, now in alliance with BOR, has the same agent as Katie Couric.
And we know that Sean Hannity (though well intentioned) just isn't a very good advocate for Conservatism. And then there's Juan Williams, Mark Lamont Hill, Shepard Smith and Jerry Rivers -- all leftists every single one of them.
Be very wary of Fox.
I haven’t seen it yet.
Is this going to spoil it for me?
;-)
I think Hurt Locker will win.
I thought it kind of amusing that in the movie, Obamacorp lost. The main character could not get the surgury he needed from the government run health care until he greased the palms of the mercenary company by doing a job for them. It might have been amusing to see what it would have been like if a real military had been in it rather than mercenaries.
Don't buy into the hype that Cameron wants.
Leave reality at the door, enjoy the show and move on.
There is NOTHING real in it, not even most of the characters.
What about CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and CBS ?
Garbage...every single one of them. Plus add HLN and PBS to that list.
In terms of the lamestream media, Fox is the merely the best of the worst. Hiring Sarah Palin was a good move -- I just hope that Rupert Murdoch doesn't try to alter her. She's smart, tough and savvy. My hope is that she'll bring some solid Conservative principles to FNC and whip the rest of the hosts into line. Too many New Yawkers in the bunch.
O'Reilly, of course, just needs to be gone. He'd fit right in with the rest of his old gang at CBS.
Hmmm...I must have watched a different Avatar. No America bashing in the one I saw. No mention of America at all, as I recall.
Oh please.
The bad guys wear 2010 American camo and shout things like "Get some!" Are they supposed to hum the Star Spangled Banner too?
Get a clue.
It's...a...movie.
