Billions of dollars are being spent constructing renewable power plants, in the main, wind towers. They just cannot supply the requisite power needed 24/7/365 that coal fired and nuclear power plants are already supplying. When the time finally arrives when someone has to explain to the people that these plants cannot fill the void left as those coal fired plants close, then by that time decades will have been lost, and those billions spent on what will become white elephants would have been better spent constructing new technology coal fired plants and nuclear plants. Then, more time will be needed to begin that new construction of plants that will actually provide the power that is needed all the time.
This wouldn’t be so bad if our electric bills weren’t going up to pay for this crap. Too bad local electrical utilities don’t have another avenue to be financially punished outside of raising rates on customers who most likely would NOT want to pay extra for unreliable and disproven “green energy” projects.
Go to Spain if you wish to see the folly of renewables.

Not just Spain. I read at some blog yesterday that some German who has installed solar panels on his roof, the output of which is purchased at a steep premium by the utility to meet its “renewable energy” quota, has determined that he can make a tidy profit installing powerful arc lights powered by conventionally generated electricity to shine on his solar panels. Nonsense on stilts!
