SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, Mich. — A Shiawassee County jury has come to a decision in the first-degree murder trial of a trucker charged with two fatal shootings.
Harlan Drake, 33, was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder.
The verdict means Drake will spend the rest of his life in prison with no chance for parole.
Drake, who admitted killing anti-abortion activist James Pouillon and Owosso-area businessman Mike Fuoss, claimed he was insane last September and should not be found guilty.
Pouillon, an aggressive pro-life activist, was shot four times while clutching a sign with a picture of a dead fetus near Owosso High School, 30 miles west of Flint. Gravel pit owner Fuoss was shot 17 times in his office just outside Owosso.
Prosecutors said Drake, who has his mother’s name tattooed on his chest, was out to avenge her when he killed Pouillon in a drive-by shooting and then gunned down Fuoss, her former boss.
During the trial, Drake said he asked to see the autopsy reports “so I could see what my aim was like.”
He also said he considered killing himself after the fatal shootings but didn’t want to make a mess in his wife’s truck. _______
First off, is anyone surprised this dude killed two people? I would wager he’s killed many more than that.

Wow. I pay attention to the news and hadn’t heard a thing about this. I just did a google news search on this...only 385 hits...mostly local news outlets.
Guess that justifies his death in some weak minds.
That’s the same way it was when Democrat terrorists plotted to firebomb the 2008 GOP Convention and plotted to kidnap Republican delegates.

Can anyone find a line to the President’s full statement?
It seems to be “The shooting last week in Michigan was deplorable. Whichever side of a public debate you’re on, violence is never the right answer.”
And it took him 2 days to draft that. In response to what has been called the first of its kind killing.
On the plus side, he probably didn’t preface it with a couple of shout outs.
Nice work, but I didn't have to ask to hear about the President interrupting his Sunday routine to declare the Tiller killing something akin to a national tragedy.
