Desperately Defending Obamacare

Joel Benenson, the lead pollster for President Obama, wrote an op-ed piece in today's Washington Post that (surprise) speaks in favor of the president's version of health care reform. He not only extols what he believes are the virtues of Obamacare, he attempts to prove that the American people have been mislead by Republicans and it is the Republicans who will suffer politically if the bill is pushed through the legislative process by the Democrats. Here are some of the lowlights:

Interesting. This thick-headed conservative draws one of two conclusions from this article: (1) Either Mr. Obama has surrounded himself with sycophants who tell him only what he wants to hear, or (2) Mr. Obama requires all his people to act sycophantic, no matter their true feelings. In either case, he is being ill-served by his pollster and we, the dense public, have no reason to believe his conclusions are unbiased.

Funny that this piece doesn’t mention the piece by Pat Caddell, also a Dem pollster and also in the Compost, that explains why ObamaCare is fatal for the Democrats and why the Dems are too blind to see it. And now here’s a dem pollster obviously too blind to see it. The writer of this article should have made that connection.

I didn’t mention it in my piece but Benenson did in his. Seems his op-ed was the administration’s pathetic attempt at rebuttal.

I’ve heard news reports this moring about the vote next week, and they do not emphasize that the vote is NOT on the Senate health bill, but rather the Slaughter Rule that will deem Obama Care passed without the House having voted on the bill. This allows them to move ObamaCare out of the House without a single D having to vote directly for it, and it is an unconstitutional slight of hand.

It’s very important that anyone you talk to about ObamaCare passing knows that the vote is NOT on ObamaCare at all because the press is not doing the job of telling people about what is actually going on and they need to know.

Has anybody even seen Obama’s bill yet? I see Reid’s bill, and I see Pelosi’s bill, but I have yet to see Obama’s bill. It has been over a year now, and still no bill from Obama.

I think many people here and conservatives fail to understand what is going on. They say Obama is stupid, etc. His goal is power, the redistribution of wealth, destruction of the USA or what we knew the USA to be.

Grabbing healthcare will me millions of “jobs” for ACORN and union goons. It is a takeover like the SA/SS took over German society or the cadre’s/commies took over Russia.

Most people are incredibly naive as to what is really going on. If you think he cares about “polls” you are wrong. Getting this law passed is all thet matters.

His friends in the media will attack any attempt to undo. Americans have decided to become slaves to TV and gave TV so much power over their lives. The TV newsmedia decides are destiny because idiots think ball games and reality TV are important.

C'mon, you know 0bama can't write a bill. He has no experience in writing anything. Bill Ayers does it all for him. 0bama is Pathetic. He won't release his college transcripts because they'll indicate how truly pathetic and pathological he really is.

0bama's bill is still in Bill Ayer's in box. It takes a lot of time to write up 3200 pages ]plus] of smoke and mirrors.

Recall that the use of ridicule confuses the Zer0-bots.

I agree with your assessment that his obsession has little or nothing to do with either reforming healthcare insurance or serving the people. He wants to remake the country in the image he has imagined. What puzzles me is why the rest of the Western nations seem to be sitting by idly watching this happen. I realize a lot would love to see this country get a comeuppance, but the realistic ones in Europe surely realize that their cushy socialist fantasylands would crash to earth that much faster if the United States were to jump on the bandwagon. As Mark Steyn and others point out, Europe can be Europe because the United States is the United States. They can devote obscene proportions of their GDP to social programs because we pay for their defense. This is like the lazy brother-in-law lying on the couch watching his breadwinning relative decide to quit work and join him on the couch. It might seem good for a temporary self-esteem boost for the lazy guy but eventually the house gets repossessed. Someone has to pay the bills.

That’s what I thought it was, a rebuttal to the Caddell piece.

Which tempts me to think, “great, they remain willfully blind as they walk off the cliff!”

But am I right? Is Caddell right? Only November will tell. I remain anxiously optimistic.

It’s hard to believe that power-hungry communist, like Obama and all his pals, would be so stupid as to fall for the kind of self-deception that Caddell wrote about. Which, when I think of it, increases my anxiety. Obama and his power-hungry commie pals MUST have something up their sleeve. They CAN’T be as stupid as they seem.

I don't watch TV but when driving I flip across the radio stations and am so disappointed to hear so many people discussing sports. Their way of life is under serious attack and this is what they're concerned about? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

check out Hugh Hewitt website. He has a email system to send letters to Blue Dogs.
http://hughhewitt.com

He also has a link to the Tim Burns, the Republican trying to take Murtha’s old seat.

Send him a contribution to send a message to the Democrats.

I think Western nations leaders get or many do. Sarkozy and Merkel are more conservative and loathe the Keyna fraud. The Japanese do not like him - see “chicago treament” Toyota is getting. Bibi in Israel does not like him. Haroer in Canada is a conservative and knows he is a clown. The Canadians told him - you want to renegotiate NAFTA - go for it but don’t expect to get great deals on oil. Australia’s liberal politician will probably get tossed after a short run. Thwe Ducth hopefully will sweep Geert Wilders in office.

What can they do? When Americans are too busy watching ball games and reality TV then it is our fault. Our serfdom comes through television news. Until people cancel cable and sat Tv enmasse - we are slaves. Do not expect Fox/Saudia news to save the day. He is controlled by the Saudis and Murdoch is looking to move News Corp (Fox’s owner) to HQ in Dubai.

This leads me to believe that Fox/News Corp/Murdoch derive a lot of working capital and financing from the Muslim world. We know CBS, Disney/ABC, CNN, NBC/CNBC/MSNBC are our enemies. Fox is really not any better.

The left or elites derive their power from TV. As long as the majority of Americans pay for cable or sat TV - We are serfs.

It is all about getting his ACORN goons and thugs into healthcare, local, state and federal govt jobs, judges, schools and universities through unions PLUS the news media especially TV. Also having govt control school loans, banks, auto companies etc etc.

If you do that you have control. He is about wrecking the middle class to make them dependent. All the money being spent is going to his cronies and voters. I bet much of it is pretty well hidden. redistribution of wealth because now the big taxes will come to people making money.

We saw graphically with Madoff’s investors that libs set up foundations to reduce the take bite dramatically. Obama loving Elie Weisel had tons of money in his foundation. It would grow tax free like a generation skipping trust. These rich liberals do not care about high taxes cause they know how to beat them.

Defeat Obamacare call list: List now contains the new MAYBES culled from FR posts.

PLEASE CALL! DC OFFICE LOCAL OFFICE State District

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.
