I DEEM THE DEMOCRATS FULL OF CRAP

They say it will be over by Sunday.

The Speaker of the House said that, the president's spokesman said that.

Sometime, between now and Sunday, probably when we're not looking, when we are lulled by the empty monotone of the evening news, they will slit our throats.

When they have rigged the rules just so, when they have stacked the vote the best they can, when they can cheat the system and subvert the country, they will do it.

And the jug-eared caesar will proclaim that he has done what no other president could, he has reformed health care.

He has bled the last drop of American freedom.

After a year of debate and contention, after a year of the nation shouting "No!" from farm to factory, the end will apparently be a whimper. A whimper from the heartland and a cackle of delight from the Capitol.

We won't know what's in it until it's signed, the Speaker said. Just sign your name and trust me.

The solution being championed is a gaming of the rules that lets the House sign on without really signing on. So that no Democrat -- liberal or conservative -- has to answer to voters for casting a vote on health-care reform, two of the most liberal members of the Congress -- the Speaker and the chair of the Rules Committee -- have calculated an end around, a vote without a vote.

Our world is changed, America is diminished, health-care becomes expensive and scarce, and no one is responsible. Elections have consequences, the Speaker once said, but sometimes she is willing to have consequences without elections.

She and her confederates have "deemed" health care passed, and so the chains of government control are forged on another part of our economy and society.

Well, maybe it's time we "deem" her out of office. Maybe it's time Americans deem their politicians useless and insubordinate. Maybe it's time that the American people deem themselves sovereign and the Constitution the law of the land.

It is an odd day in American political history, not only do the leaders of Congress ignore the will of the people, they ignore the will of their members. The implicit fact of the congressional games is that there isn't a majority in support of health-care reform. The dirty little secret of recent weeks is that Obama and the others have given up trying to sway the American people, they now hope to simply to sway the congressmen of their own party.

And they show little prospect of doing that.

So they have to cheat.

They have to impose the Slaughter Solution, a gambit to spare health-care reform the sure defeat an up or down vote would bring it.

The Democrat problem is that there is not Democrat agreement. Some Democrats in Congress feel strongly about one thing, and other Democrats in Congress feel strongly about other things -- the same goes for their constituents. And this bill pulls them apart. It offends some in one way and offends others in another.

So the only way to get it passed is to not bring it to a vote -- a seeming impossibility that Nancy Pelosi and Louise Slaughter have found a way around. They will create obscure procedural votes -- they say -- that will allow the legislation to move to the president's desk without every truly coming before Congress.

That way each Democrat can go home and truthfully say he didn't vote for health care, and yet there will be a health care bill. Those who want can claim credit, those who don't will have no responsibility.

And it will all be a game.

With the American people as losers.

They can't convince us, they can't even convince the congressmen of their own party.

But they are going to force it on us anyway.

Which is one more milestone in the destruction of American freedom.

Because this isn't about health care. Health care is just the battlefield. The war is about freedom, and whether or not you will have it anymore. It is about how expansive and powerful government can become, how totalitarian its policies will be, how much resistance you will put up.

Having failed to get their will through the democratic process, the Democrat leaders have happily opted for chicanery. It is a con, a bloodless coup, being foisted upon the American people.

And it's supposed to happen this week.

A silent but certain slitting of the American throat.

If we have future elections, and if the Republicans gain control of congress, I would hope that they would ram everything through on simple majority votes. Of course, the press would scream loud and long about that, and the American people would be outraged.

I guess governing by fiat is more palatable to some than simple up-or-down votes..

I deem not to pay what my 1040 says I owe to the IRS. /sarcasm

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could live in the same “world” as the “deemers.”

They think they’re living in a Star Trek show, and can govern by the words, “Make It So.”

Thats okay folks, my State VA has already taken steps to protect its citizens from the parasitic fascists. Why don’t you join us. Imagine 30 or more States declaring their independence from the Feds regarding healthcare mandates. This could start another rebirth in responsible governance. Imagine many states came together to form a central state for the simple purpose of defense, common currency, and foreign diplomacy. Now imagine those states being dictated to by the central state. Interesting problem isn’t it? What to do? Assert State independence from the central state on all issues not specifically cited in the original contract. The central state would have two options, discuss the matter in court (USSC) or go ballistic and wage war. Do you think bammy is up for this?

Is it possible to be “full of crap” and to “be crap” at the same time?

No, these are separate species of craps. For instance, Murtha was full of crap, which eventually killed him (cosmic justice), while nasty pelosi is pure crap. Cosmically, full of crap will orbit pure crap, because pure crap attracts lesser forms of crap. This is known as the attractor crap theory. Scientists are split on whether the operative force of crap theory but many cite the smell as the key organizing energy. Scientists further speculate that there is a crap hole in the universe that attracts all crap in its vortex, condensing full of crap and pure crap into super dense crap. The further speculate that when super dense crap reaches a breaking point then the phenomena of “crap hits the fan” occurs, spreading crap throughout space creating the crap universe. Any other questions?

With the American people as losers.

Help here. If this bill (free med) is passed and some claim there is no way of changing it, even if the Repub’s take control of both house’s at a latter date....what happens when there is no money in the treasure to fund such bills? And, believe me, after looking at Tenn. care, and Mass failed health programs, there will be no money to pay for this socialistic program.

I'm beginning to think that the best thing that could happen for conservatism is that these ingrates DO pass this thing.

The anger is beginning to bubble to the surface, so the backlash to an actual passing of the legislation, especially without a vote, will sweep the liberals out of power for a long time.

I think the damage is reparable, especially in light of the fact that no voter can be "hooked" onto this particular gimme until 2013.

Go ahead, make my day, Democrats.

That's easy! In that case the Marxists reach the primary goal in their agenda (and all their secondary goals they care not a whit about, as they all, especially in combination, lead to the primary goal). And their primary goal is the destruction of the republic and instituting a marxist N-Korean/Venezuelan/Soviet/Cuban-like hell hole where they rule.

“I deem not to pay what my 1040 says I owe to the IRS...”

If you were TurboTax Timmy, the secretary of the Treasury, or Charlie Rangel, now former Chair of the House Ways and Means Committe(which writes tax law) you would’nt have to use the /s switch.....you or I would be so screwed if either of us did what they have gotten away with....and in the end THAT is the fault of We the People....

They want to destroy America? Fine. 20 million people bump up their W2-dependents to the maximum allowed. 20 million people file every extension allowed to file your tax forms. 20 million producers claim that they need to set up a payment plan to pay their taxes and somehow they manage to be late with the payment.

20 million people become tax experts and train 20 more million people on how to garner every last cent of refunds and small business deductions on the businesses they’ve just started to use as a tax write off.

We control the purse strings. If they pass this government control bill, I say help bring the system to it’s knees so we can break the fever and start getting well again.

“That way each Democrat can go home and truthfully say he didn’t vote for health care, and yet there will be a health care bill. Those who want can claim credit, those who don’t will have no responsibility.”

We need to make it known — loud and clear — that we will hold each Democrat member of Congress responsible for this monstrosity — Representatives and Senators alike — whether they were for OR against. AND we need to send the message loud and clear that they are on their way OUT...

So much for trying an end-run around the American people...jerks...

Maybe the Republicans in the House should just deem that Nancy is no longer their Speaker and they have passed a bill that outlaws Democrats in the House.
