AZ doesn’t have too much pastureland. People there stick with their familiar politicians. They would still be voting loyally for DeConcini if he were around.
Don’t be duped. Hayworth is no angel, but he is not the pro-amnesty, pro- anti constitution, etc. that McCain is.
McCain is an absolute disaster for conservatives.

Look, I don’t know the details on Hayworth. He could be a Bolshevik for all I know. But, sometimes I wonder if the definition of a “conservative” on this board is becoming so limited that nobody meets it.

Hayworth unwisely went along with Bush spending programs. At least he’s a loyal Republican, unlike McCain.
Did he pass MCCAIN-Feingold which gave us the Dem 2006/2008 Congress and Obama 2008?
MCCAIN-Feingold got us to where we are now under ACORN/SEIU tyranny but Obama told us not to fear Obama and that Obama loves The Constitution.

McCain has been putting out some of the nastiest attack ads I’ve heard in a while. He seems to think that senate seat is his for life, in that his wife paid for it, fair and square.
I’ve wanted nothing to do with McCain ever since that unconstitutional monster McCain-Feingold came down the pike. McCain acted as if he had never read the constitution, and cared less what it said. That, and he has just a crazy mean attitude when people cross him.
J.D. Hayworth, on the other hand, has been on the Arizona airwaves for years, and seems to have the “Arizona attitude” about life and things. Plus, I seriously enjoyed it when some shrimpy little Democrat leftist congressman got so angry at him that he charged down to the House floor, offering to get into a fistfight.
He about came up to an angry J.D.s belly button, before realizing that if he swung at J.D., he was going to be examining the floor at a close angle real quick.

That's my thinking. I don't care if Hayworth does fuuny things with sheep behind the barn, GET RID OF McCAIN. If Hayworth turns out to be another RINO, get rid of him in six years. Keep flushing the toilet until we find a good one, but in the meantime, the Old Guard has to go.
