John learned that politics was dirty very early.

The two Johns (McCain and Kerry) were sent to Vietnam on a 'WHERE'S WALDO' Real Estate/Seafood/Rest stop tour for MIAs.

After assuring themselves that there were no MIAs in the preselected and emptied prison camps , they both signed off on a 'treaty' that absolved North Vietnamese leaders from all physical and financial responsibility. Apparently, UFO's had abducted all of the remaining POW/MIAs, so it made no sense for our government to spend any further time looking for them.
