Democrat Congressman Compares Iraq War To Dissent Against ObamaCare

Trying to compare the political outrage against ObamaCare to any war is just pathetic....with a capitol P, so bring on Congressman John Boccieri:

In light of recent threats made to Members of Congress, their families, and staff in the wake of the health care vote, U.S. Congressman John Boccieri (D-OH) issued the following statement:

“Having flown missions in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan, I know what it’s like to be in harm’s way. But I never imagined serving in Congress could feel the same. While Members of Congress, including myself, experience threats against our lives, our families, and our staff in the wake of the historic health care vote, I am calling on our leaders to be responsible with their remarks, especially those with a national microphone.

“We need to have a respectful conversation about contemporary issues, however once that discussion crosses into incendiary and dangerous remarks, it is time for Members of Congress to speak up.

“As passions run deep, violence will never solve our problems. I demand responsible leadership on both sides of the aisle because progress should not cower to the politics of fear.”

Sad....just sad.

But they’re never specific as to what threats. By who? When? Anonymous? I guess they’re just like those taunts that never happened on March 20th.

I demand ...

Seems to be a lot of that coming out of people in government these days.

I wonder if Obama will heed these words.

I would be cooler for them at home.

They should consider a new profession with less concern, like maybe homemaker?.

It would make more sense to shut up. This kind of thing goes with the territory. Whining about it just invites more and does nothing to change the tenor of anonymous messages.

Sounds like this guy was one of those recruits of Axelrod: A committed leftist with a military resume.

People are angry because he (and Obama) lied to them.

Stop bullying the Democrat Congressmen! For Pete's sake (or is that Barack's sake?).

Bully victims may be at risk for developing psychotic symptoms (Hmmm, that 'splains a lot.)

The effects of bullying can be devastating such as irrational fears like fearing to land heavy planes on Guam afraid that the island will tip over and capsize, stuff like that.

This is what happens when you force legislation on Americans against their will. You were warned and there’s more where that came from.

Congressman John Boccieri, thank you for your service to our country. As an Air Force vet you must know the sacrifices of citizens past -- and especially present -- to defend our Constitution and inalienable rights.

Why do you go along with those Marxist-Alinsky rabble in your Party who would deny us our free speech rights?

No question that public figures receive threats of harm. Why do you make that a reason to deny the inalienable rights of all who oppose your party's agenda? Please make public the threats you've received.

.. if this makes no sense to you -- please explain why you fear Guam can tip over and sink. Yes, I know that you did not say that but you sit on the same side of the aisle as Congressman Johnson ergo, by your reasoning, you have to believe it also -- and

Get outa ta kitchen! Ya bother me.
