Abortion Is the Foundational Human Rights Issue of Our Lifetime
The Woodward Report ^ | April 11, 2009

Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver, Colorado, USA, spoke recently on the vocation of Christians in American public life. In his address at Houston Baptist University, the Archbishop said, “I’m here as a Catholic Christian and an American citizen—in that order. I believe abortion is the foundational human rights issue of our lifetime.

We need to do everything we can to support women in their pregnancies and to end the legal killing of unborn children.

We may want to remember that the Romans had a visceral hatred for Carthage not because Carthage was a commercial rival, or because its people had a different language and customs. The Romans hated Carthage above all because its people sacrificed their infants to Ba’al.

For the Romans, who themselves were a hard people, that was a unique kind of wickedness and barbarism.

As a nation, we might profitably ask ourselves whom and what we’ve really been worshipping in our 40 million ‘legal’ abortions since 1973”. ELN. March.

I find it amazing that the people who called me a “baby killer” for being a member of the Armed Services during the Vietnam War are actually the baby killers. Just like the National Socialists who murdered millions of Jews and the Communists won murdered millions who opposed them those self-righteous leftists simple did what the Nazis and the Commies did—define the baby like the Jew and the anti-Communist to be unpersons.

Same here.

“For behold, the moment that the sound of your greeting came to my ears,
the babe in my womb lept for joy.”
Luke 1:44

Now please explain to me,
“How can a ‘lump of flesh’ leap in its mothers womb,
and how does it know joy?”

What’s really sad and pathetic is that many women use abortion as their choice of birth control. What has happened to their “natural” motherly instincts to protect their children?

Just like the National Socialists who murdered millions of Jews . . .

That is why I use the term "National Socialist Healthcare." It has a Nazi ring to it and will lead to much the same end.

I’ve explained my pro-abortion stance to so many liberals and they still dislike my approach.

I explain that, since the overwhelming majority of those seeking abortions are liberals, I’m all for it. It’s a darn shame I can’t make it mandatory. After all, who among us would expect those randy little liberals to actually exhibit the self-control to use contraception? Not me. And since the likelihood of a liberal raising a decent human being, much less a patriotic American, is virtually zero, I’ll all for abortion.

But you just can’t satisfy these liberals. They just don’t want my support.

There is an abortionist in Fayetteville who knows the Bible inside out and yet he justifies what he does as God’s work! I pray for him every day....he mocks those he knows are praying for him. He’s getting up in years and I pray before he meets God he realizes what he has done and converts.

NOthing about abortion IS natural....Have you known of any of God’s creatures to reach into their wombs and tear out the baby inside them?

“NOthing about abortion IS natural....Have you known of any of God’s creatures to reach into their wombs and tear out the baby inside them?”

So true.

I live in a rural area and our neighborhood had a new “pregnant” stray cat. We would see her constantly hunting for mice and other food, on her own. My neighbor and I would leave her scraps out in the field as well.

A couple of weeks ago we noticed that she was no longer pregnant. Recently my neighbor found her and her kittens in one of their buildings. My neighbor took them in and is giving her and her babies a good home. Through networking she has found new homes for the kittens (when they are weaned) and they are going to keep the mother cat. We have all become attached and impressed with the mother cat.

My neighbor didn’t need the government to advise her on how to do the right thing. By instincts this stray cat has given birth to her babies and found a good home for them. And my neighbor has opened her heart and her home to help this mother “in need” and her babies.

IMO, we are a ‘giving’ nation. We do not need the government to ‘make us’ care for the less fortunate ... whether it is an animal or a human in need. We are and have always been a compassionate, God loving nation.

Terrible twisting of Scripture. I hope he sees the light soon.
