Some crafty cops in Tampa, Florida used the promise of stimulus money to catch some wanted Obama-lovers in an effort dubbed "Operation April Fools.'" The crafty men in blue sent an official-looking letter from the "West Central Florida Stimulus Coalition" promising $650 to a roster of suspects with outstanding arrest warrants. Police also set up a fake store front to nab the Obama-lovers when they came to collect their checks.
These Obama-loving dirt bags walked into the fake store looking for a stimulus check but found Tampa police officers instead. Some smiled about being tricked, but others were angry about the ruse.
"We had to be a little bit creative and kind of dangle a carrot, if you would, in front of the bad guy, to get him to come in," said Maj. John Newman of the Tampa Police Department. Newman says they sent out 1,300 letters last Friday informing the suspects they were eligible to receive stimulus money. The suspects then made appointments to get their government checks.
Police say they arrested about three dozen suspects Thursday and Friday. All were wanted on felony warrants including violation of probation, grand theft and robbery.
Congrats on a job well done, Tampa PD. You’ve removed three dozen taxpayer-sucking leeches from our streets and put them where they belong.

Uh, they are still ‘taxpayer-sucking leeches’ when they are incarcerated. Who do you think pays for their ‘room and board’ while they languish behind bars?
