Some 200 people showed up in downtown St. Charles, Mo., Thursday afternoon for a Tax Day Tea Party which lefty "party crashers" tried unsuccessfully to disrupt.
Among the notables in attendance was Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder (R-Mo.), the man behind a planned lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of President Barack Obama's government-run health care plan (a.k.a., "ObamaCare"). Though his speech was interrupted several times by the two men, the lieutenant governor handled their heckling well and earned thunderous applause from the assembled tea partiers.
After the speech, he spoke with me about the lawsuit, telling me that the group helping him with it, Health Care In Action, plans to make an announcement about it next week before filing the legal action two to three weeks later.
Before he departed, I asked Kinder about the heavily-outnumbered party crashers, and he simply expressed a desire that people be civil. Somewhat comically, he offered some advice for those on the left: "They ought to get their own crowd, not mooch off ours."
Sorry I missed it Bob, but I had to work..
