With the support of 70 percent of its citizens, Arizona has ordered sheriffs and police to secure the border and remove illegal aliens, half a million of whom now reside there.
Arizona acted because the U.S. government has abdicated its constitutional duty to protect the states from invasion and refuses to enforce Americas immigration laws. We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act, said Gov. Jan Brewer. But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created an unacceptable situation.
We have a crisis in Arizona because we have a failed state in Washington.
What is the response of Barack Obama, who took an oath to see to it that federal laws are faithfully executed?
He is siding with the law-breakers. He is pandering to the ethnic lobbies.

I read that and saw a video. The crowd was violent, pushing, and throwing things.
And yet it was the peaceful Tea Party participants who have been smeared by the Media, the Democrats, and pResident Obama.
Whose country is it?
Welll the elite think they own it...as well they should. A progressive income tax basically allows the very wealthy, who can buy anything they like, to buy a government. And We the People have sold it to them.
When 1% of the population pays 40% of the income tax, 5% pays 60%, 10% pays 70%....well the other 90% are naturally going to have little or no say.

IMHO, BTW, its the reason I believe the courts cannot find “standing” for anyone to question Obama’s selection by the elites as their leader.

Under Obama, they people who pay little or no tax are getting "free" money handed to them in the form of the Earned Income Tax Credit, which is welfare by any other name.
Earned Income Tax Credit is a Welfare Scam
People who pay no taxes, are are not even citizens, receive FREE medical care in hospitals. Even routine care treated in ERs is free to them.
Under the new health care scheme, people who pay nothing in taxes are going to be eligible for better care than people who have to pay for it. In fact, the new law (no longer a bill) calls for offices for "minority health" and "civil rights." These are already being enacted.
There are elites who have bought politicians, and the system. But under Obama, it is the non-payers that have won the lottery.
Everything is "free."
Tancredo’s reaction stunned me. I would like to hear more from him about the law- I hope he was taken out of context or something...
Something my dad told me when I wanted to help with a campaign when I was in high school- he told me to always remember a politician is in the end a politician. Though I know of no political reason it would benefit Tancredo to change horses in mid-stream.
Corporations know this -
you must limit the influx of hires from specific other companies because the hires will bring the “culture” of their former employer with them and “pollute” the culture of the business, a business that is more successful (they’re hiring) than the business that was laying off.
The way to solve this is to allow a trickle from the other culture, “forcing” them to conform to the successful culture of their new home or employer.
It makes sense,
UNLESS YOUR GOALS INCLUDE THE DESTRUCTION OF THE SUCCESSFUL CULTURE.
He has denounced Arizona as "misguided." He has called on the Justice Department to ensure that Arizona's sheriffs and police do not violate anyone's civil rights. But he has said nothing about the rights of the people of Arizona who must deal with the costs of having hundreds of thousands of lawbreakers in their midst.
...What are we doing to our own people?
Whose country is this, anyway?
It’s a shame Pat’s name isn’t in the headline....maybe the mods will fix it. He was at the forefront of this issue for years.......should be a great thread
To hear some talk, you'd think they were. I'm sure it's not pleasant to be "racially profiled" or to be asked for ID, but where is the sympathy for the millions of Americans and legal immigrants who've been beaten, robbed, raped, killed, hit by illegal alien drunk drivers, caught diseases from illegals; not to mention the many who've lost their jobs or seen their wages go down, those who've had their identities stolen, kids whose schools are now dangerous, ineffective and overcrowded; people whose neighborhoods are ruined, and on and on and on? We're supposed to be outraged because somebody might be asked for ID. Well, sorry. I'm too busy being outraged about all of the above.
Apparenlty the Country belongs to those lazy, over fed over paid serial criminals who sit in Congress. At least they act like it does.
Mexico’s Immigration Law: Let’s Try It Here at Home
Human Events | 05/08/2006 | J. Michael Waller

Mexico has a radical idea for a rational immigration policy that most Americans would love. However, Mexican officials havent been sharing that idea with us as they press for our Congress to adopt the McCain-Kennedy immigration reform bill.
That’s too bad, because Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue. Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.
At a time when the Supreme Court and many politicians seek to bring American law in line with foreign legal norms, its noteworthy that nobody has argued that the U.S. look at how Mexico deals with immigration and what it might teach us about how best to solve our illegal immigration problem. Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:
* in the country legally;
* have the means to sustain themselves economically;
* not destined to be burdens on society;
* of economic and social benefit to society;
* of good character and have no criminal records; and
* contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
The law also ensures that:
* immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
* foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
* foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the countrys internal politics;
* foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
* foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
* those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.
Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens — and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, illegal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country’s immigration policy.
It is an interesting law — and one that should cause us all to ask, Why is our great southern neighbor pushing us to water down our own immigration laws and policies, when its own immigration restrictions are the toughest on the continent? If a felony is a crime punishable by more than one year in prison, then Mexican law makes it a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.
If the United States adopted such statutes, Mexico no doubt would denounce it as a manifestation of American racism and bigotry.
We looked at the immigration provisions of the Mexican constitution. [1] Now let’s look at Mexico’s main immigration law.
Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:
* Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)
* Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents. (Article 34)
* Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” (Article 37)
* The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.” (Article 38)
Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:
* Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article 73)
* A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity. (Articles 85 and 86)
* A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).
Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:
* Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)
* Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)
Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:
* Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)
* Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)
* Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.
Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,
* “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)
* Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)
* Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)
Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:
* A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)
* Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)
All of the above runs contrary to what Mexican leaders are demanding of the United States. The stark contrast between Mexico’s immigration practices versus its American immigration preachings is telling. It gives a clear picture of the Mexican government’s agenda: to have a one-way immigration relationship with the United States.
Let’s call Mexico’s bluff on its unwarranted interference in U.S. immigration policy. Let’s propose, just to make a point, that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) member nations standardize their immigration laws by using Mexico’s own law as a model.
As I said, I wonder just who does own the country. When the government can take away someones land and decide for what a personâs property can be used, such as wetlands, the federal government can do anything that it wants to do. Who runs the government? I suspect it is the golden rule: He who has the gold makes the rules.
If we don't fight for it, we'll lose the SW in a generation.
And it got him called every ugly name you can think of by some so-called ‘conservatives’, at least one of whom was supporting Hanoi back when Pat was working for Nixon.
“Remember, the anti-Buchanan Freepers claimed he was a hypocrite because he took one step over the border into Mexico illegally and he should be arrested.”
That’s when they weren’t busy calling him a nazi.
“These people are running around smearing swastikas on state buildings with refried beans. Are they what we want as fellow citizens?”
Out here in SoCal they routinely throw frozen cans of soda at elderly Americans who show up at rallies. And in one incident of this sort the Anaheim police simply stood by and did nothing.
What’s unusual about that picture is that the Aztlan Brown Berets aren’t wearing ski masks. I guess they weren’t planning on any serious crime that day.
Imagine if some militia operated in public the way that these Aztlan Brown Beret thugs do. A paramilitary group advocating the overthrow of America, a group that masks themselves and violently attacks Americans in street demonstrations.
You know about them. I know about them. The police certainly know about them. And so does the press, which ignores them. It’s an openly operating criminal conspiracy and nothing is done about it. It’s what you get when both Bush and Obama and their political flunkies pander to latino voters. They aren’t even willing to prosecute a violent, racist group because they don’t want to ‘offend’ other latinos. What a hell of a country we have come to live in.
