I'm not disputing the account. I'm disputing Debkas take on it. I'm wondering why it's even newsworthy.
Iranian planes fly over carriers cruising in their backyard all the time in the Gulf. Big deal. Yes, we would need permission from the White House to shoot a surveillance plane out of the sky in international airspace. Imagine that? This isn't some kind of new policy. Debka is trying to turn a mundane, routine occurrence into some kind of display of a lack of resolve on the United States Navy. That's where this article is a crock.
