A threatening TV commercial running in Pennsylvania has a shockingly Orwellian feel to it. The ad features a woman describing in detail the house of someone who owes Pennsylvania back taxes.

New Jersey had one a few years ago featuring the Blondie song “one way or another.”

It’s good that Tax cheats should feel some pressure.

This is like the third or fourth posting of this and I think if you don’t already know that ‘they’ know who you are you’re an idiot.

You could have run this ad 50 years ago. Everyone knew the IRS was trouble.

I was just on Fox reading the comments on this story. It’s amazing to me how many people jump on those that owe back taxes as opposed to the lack of comments to the effect of WHY WOULD A FREE MAN OWE SO MUCH IN TAXES IN THE FIRST PLACE!

The problem is not the guy that owes 4k plus in back taxes but the Government that is greatly overstepped their authority to confiscate private property to begin with.

Taxes should be easy to pay because they are so SMALL

Wake up America!

Because goods and services provided by the state costs money, the way the state pays for those goods and services is to tax the citizens. And let’s be honest 4K is only a lot of money to those DUmmies, if you have a respectable job 4k is not much.

If you want to lower your tax bill vote for politicians who actually say what programs they’ll cut and by how much. And force the other guy to say I won’t cut programs but I will raise taxes. Then the free men can vote and the choice will be made.

That’s the great thing about Christie in NJ, he’s gutting programs and it will force the voters to make a decision during his reelection. The Dems will run a guy who’ll say “I’ll increase spending on these programs and I’ll have to increase taxes” Christie will say “I cut spending bunch of people cried doom and gloom, we balanced the budget and things are still OK.” Christie is giving voters an honest choice and it’s up to Americans to respond honestly.

You are missing the point.

It does not matter if you have a “respectable” job or not. In fact the more respectable your job the more you are being enslaved. As it stands right now most of the middle class is working at least 40 percent of their lives for the Government. Think about it that way beacause that is the reality. If you are in the upper middle clase you are working half of your life for these “goods and services”. I hope you really enjoy them cause you are paying with your life.

Me I’m flat tired of writing checks for 20k every year to pay for government of which I benefit very little.

This ad is pitting us against each other and deflecting the issue to those tax deadbeats which by their admission is only 3 percent. We need to stay focused on the REAL problem which is overbearing ever expanding government.

Want to help solve the tax deficiency? Fire some government employees !!

If the state knew who the scofflaws were, they would’n need this BS aminsty program or the expensive TV ads promoting it. They would just go and arrest those people and take their money.

Look if you want to live in a Low-tax utopia, buy a couple of AK-47’s and move to Somalia.

You don’t benefit from roads? You don’t benefit from schools*? The Fire Department?

And you really don’t want to know about the horror on the Federal Side, If you eliminated every program except for Defense, Social-Security^, Medicare and the debt interest we would just barely have a balanced budget. VA - gone. National Parks - market rates, NASA - no more.

*Think about it, what is better for home value low property taxes or good schools?
^ Don’t forget, if we were to eliminate Social Security, we would need to eliminate Social Security taxes and we would need to pay back the Social Security trust fund that subsidized income taxes since the Reagan.

Dumbest thing I seen this year of FR! Congratulations, what a steaming pile that statement is. Many millions of Americans are out of work and maddogconservative says that 4k ain't nothing. That's about what I take home in 2 months, but maddogconservative says its chickenfeed or I am a loser! Wow thanks for your support blowhard. If you feel it isn't much, why don't YOU give out the cash?

Good Lord, finish high school, go to college, learn a trade.

Work 40 hours a week.

You make 30K a year!? Really? I was making that without even trying 15 years ago. Are you on food stamps?

No I am not on food stamps. My house is paid off as is 1 of my 2 cars. The other will be paid off next Apr. I have a college degree. And I am in a trade.

I said I take home $500, not make. I don’t count what I don’t take home cause the government keeps all the taxes they take from me and my wife.
