Fake Mich. 'Tea Party': Another Example of How Democrats Fight Dirty
Publius Forum ^ | 05/16/10 | Warner Todd Huston

Every Democrat I know likes to act as if it were the GOP that fights dirty. Of course, every time I ask them for an example they just stare back blankly at me -- I know, it's their normal state, but this question gets particular blankness. On the other hand, I can give reams of evidence of the left doing all it can to win by hook or crook, and it's usually crook. From ACORN, to constant use of the race card, to changing rules in the middle of the game both at a local level as well as a federal level, as well as the leftist's prosaic hypocrisy of double standards, we can all name a dirty trick from the left. Well, as if you needed another one, there is a new dirty trick being perpetrated by the left in the great state of Michigan.

There a Democrat Party group is registering a "new" party that its calling the "Tea Party." Yeah, imagine that! Where do you think they got the idea for the name, eh?

Over at OutsideLansing.com we find that a Democrat connected petition management firm has been deployed with petitions to "organize one new state political party." It is being called the Tea Party.

About a month or two ago I wrote one of the leaders of the local Tea Party movement in my state (WA) suggesting they register the name to avoid just this sort of thing happening. It was around the time of the Tea Party event in NV and there was a guy who had registered the Tea Party as a party in NV and put himself out as if he was supported by the Tea Party. They had to scramble and get the word out that he wasn't affiliated with the Tea Party movement.

So I highly recommend that anyone on FR who is associated with the Tea Party...tie up the registrations, not to use but to remove from the clutches of democrat dirty tricks teams.

Might also want to consider grabbing internet domain names too, if anyone has the resources for that.

They did the same thing in Nevada to try to save dingy Harry.

I don’t think they can get away with it. It’s like domain name squatting.

Let me see the Democrats like to use buses to round up homeless people to vote and go into the booth to vote they get people who can’t read or write and vote for them, dead people vote college students vote multiple times! Convicts in Prison to vote. They like to hand count the ballots and they like mail in ballots so they can get a lot of i legal votes. Count recount and recount again to win close elections. That is the democratic vote!!!!

I can see someone coming up with an informational list (perhaps on a website) where every little group and/or organization that is associated with the TEA Party) is put down, with some relevant local organizers’ names and/or e-mail addresses and/or phone numbers and mailing addresses ... along with any “particulars” about that particular group.

That way, it would allow people to go to one particular website, look up the name and/or individuals known to the public for that particular organization and read about the “particulars” of that group...

That would be a good list to have and have someone organize. It wouldn’t be necessarily “for” the TEA Party or “against” it — but merely and purely “informational”.

Being “informational” like that (on a website like that) would take away the ability of some other group coming in and operating as a rogue group, working against the TEA Party ... :-)

You were saying ...

I know a few real hard core dems that are the most racist people I have ever met.

In general, I would say that "northerners" are usually more racists than "Southerners" ... :-)

But, I'm sure that people can come up with exceptions to that... but that's what I think is generally true.

As a Southerner who grew up in TN and Ala. I agree with you that there is more racism in the north. In the South we lived and worked together and got to really know and love one another. I picked cotton alongside blacks in the hot Southern sun. One older woman lived with us during the Depression, not as a servant, but as a member of the family. I never knew anything about prejudice until the mess in the 60s and 70s. Of course I lived in the country as a small child, and it never occurred to me that the blacks around me were any different from us. Weren’t really, we were all poor.

Yeah, it’s the difference between living in and amongst each other... versus many in the North living in segregated areas, and keeping apart, themselves, in their own “societies”. They developed a very pernicious racism that is covered up with a very thin veneer of “lip service” and nothing much more than that ...

You’re right. Segregation is much more prevalent in the Northern states. In fact that is where the largest gettos are located. When I lived in Montgomery, AL our next door neighbors were black and close friends of ours.

I believe Morgan Freeman said the same thing a few years back, when asked by his liberal friends he was moving back to Mississippi.

I grew up in Detroit in the 40s and 50s. Our neighborhood was lily white. I never talked to a young black guy my age until I was on the train going down to basic.
