Democrats Give Standing Ovation to U.S Criticism

Yesterday morning Mexican President Felipe Calderon addressed a joint session of the U.S. Congress. During part of his speech he stated that he strongly disagreed with the recently-passed anti-illegal immigration law in the state of Arizona. For that swipe at a U.S. state’s decision to take a stand against illegal immigration, the Democrats in attendance gave Calderon a standing ovation, as shown in the video below.

Take note that at about the 20-second mark of the clip, there is a woman wearing a turquoise-colored top standing up. That person is former Arizona governor Janet Napolitano, who is of course now the Secretary of Homeland Security. She recently admitted that she had not actually read the Arizona law but stated that it was not a law that she would have signed as governor.

Sure would have been uplifting to see the Republicans stand up and walk out on Filipe. I would have; and that's why it's hard to think of the Republican 'leadership' in America as "my" leadership. They're a bunch of weenies in times where men are needed in America.

They are indeed, and they include the current President and many members of the House, Senate, and Judiciary. We have much work to do, and not much time to do it in.

On a somewhat brighter note, the above truth does provide our side with a rather target-rich environment. Not to mention that ours is the team that believes in and actively practices the Second Amendment. At least this guarantees that they'll either keep it civil or wish to Christ that they did.

The poor bastards have us surrounded... sucks to be them.

In November of 2008, I was a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, but I felt no need to carry a weapon, or even know how to handle the one weapon in my house (my deceased husband's old service revolver, a .357). It and a quite a few rounds of ammo were in a cardboard box under the bed, gathering dust wolves bunnies. By January 2010, my DBF decides he wants to not only get a handgun, he wants to get his CCW. By April 2010, I was out at the range practicing , and I am signed up for the class to get my CCW next month. Oh, and we now own a 380 Ruger, a Walther p22, and the .357, as well as several thousand rounds of ammo for each one, and we know we're not done purchasing firearms. Much less ammo : DBF picks up good ammo at the local stores several times a month, and every time we go to Wal Mart, we buy at least one box of "plinking" ammo.

All because of the open, blatant disrespect of our elected officials, and their patently unconstitutional actions since November 2008 (eg Health care "reform", aka the de facto repeal of the 13th amendment and no, I DON'T think I'm exaggerating on that).

How many people out there have a story similar to that of me and my DBF?

Let me add that DBF was a much more luke warm 2nd amendment supporter compared to me, and he got his CCW in March 2010. We enjoy target shooting together, and we are going out on the range again this weekend . (Assuming the stupid rainy weather stays away!)
