Maybe so, but Paul was dumb to say it anyway. He was also dumb to say anything at all on Rachel Madcow's show. Nobody watches it BUT liberals on network TV looking for softballs on Dims and hardballs on Conservatives. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Obama is playing a game with public opinion. I expect him to say:
‘You would think the conservatives would thank me for letting BP do their thing and “drill baby drill”.’
In his devious way, he is also pandering to the enviros by letting the damage proliferate, proving that “oil is a pollutant, coal mining kills and solar/wind power is the answer”.
When are we conservatives going to defend his right to say whatever the heck he wants and start really going after the fact that MSNBC is a White House organ, blame THEM for the gotcha moments, and quit saying that we want honest politicians and then when they are honest we start attacking the Palins and the Pauls for being "dumb".
Quit panicking and start defending their right to have some down moments, like all people do. The only difference is that the Media ignores the demo dumb moments.
Conservatives cannot be perfect. We don't have to start jumping all over them when they are not. This is the reason we lose. Get out there and defend the conservative ideas, principles and policies, and speak out against those that oppose them and twist their words to suit their needs.
Quit falling into the same trap the media/libs set out every time to diminish your enthusiasm for a candidate. STOP IT NOW!
The media is going to find that their “got’cha” moments aren’t going to count for much any more.

You are so right....when conservatives like Palin and libertarians like Rand speak their mind.... the media will automatically jump on them because they (libs) can’t defend their liberalism...
Panicking? I don't think Rand Paul is stupid. He is an opthamologist for God sakes. I think what he did was dumb. Sarah learned from Katie Couric. She was dumb to go on her show too. You can't win a war by handing your guns and ammo to your enemy. It is dumb.
