the majority of art students end up in universities teaching more art students who aren’t artists. or they become critics because they are failed artists.
MFAs (master if fine arts) are near the top in college degree scams, along with ethnic and womyn’s studies.
and i speak as a former army training consultant who has been, and still is, a technical illustrator with 20 years experience. no BFA, no MFA, 2 associates degrees in CAD and graphic design.
and i build models on the side.
i go to the somehwhat prestigous cherry creek arts festival in denver and they would have to pay me to put at least 50% of the represented “art” in my house.
