Last week at least 2 anonymous sources reported to the Conservative Examiner that National Guard troops were on the move inside the country. As the days have progressed more reports surfaced, and several bloggers wrote that troops have been spotted on the move in massive convoys in various parts of the nation.
One source reported that U.N. 'peacekeeping' troops were part of the movement.
These reports that began as a small trickle of unconfirmed claims have now become a raging dam-burst as citizens in at least a dozen states have reported such unusual movements of troops.
Free Press International reported the following:
Eye witness reports from Georgia, Minnesota, Alabama, Kansas, and perhaps Texas suggest large scale mobilizations and deployment in progress for National Guard Units.
We were under the impression that National Guard in Georgia were being deployed to help evacuate Florida in the event of toxic fumes from the oil spill if the government decided to light the booms.
However, we are seeing reports from multiple states throughout the country.

Yo, this is National Guard. Any idea who is in your State’s National Guard? Think “local civilians in uniform”. Add to this that a large percentage are Iraq and Afghanistan vets. Yes, they’re soldiers. But their day job is a regular job in their hometown.
Bottom line: very useful in disaster relief. Very responsible to their State governor. Not useful at all for oppressing their relatives and neighbors. Very high percentage are Republicans and conservatives.
I am as worried about the National Guard being used in perfidy, as I am that the Tea Partiers are going to violently riot, smash store windows and loot. Highly unlikely.
Those FReeper comments are more annoying than the "dang Amish" comments that appear after every shooting or terrorist incident.

Yesterday, one of the local kids came in from college for a couple of weeks of training at the local base, then ships down to Haiti for a week or two then would you believe it, off to Germany for a while. Sounds like a heck of a summer to me. Germany makes it all worth while.
