The true face of American fascism.
The Silent Majority ^ | 06-12-10 | Robert Ehrenkaufer

There are as many definitions of fascism as there are definers of the term. There is no true consensus as the term is dynamic; constantly morphing to encompass any and all positions deemed an anathema to the liberal agenda. But there are historical precedents that allow us to parse out the fundamental tenets of traditional fascism and apply those tenets to modern liberalism exposing striking similarities.

In the full light of objective scrutiny it becomes obvious that modern Liberalism is more akin to classical fascism, modern Conservatism a close relative of classical Liberalism and that true fascism is a phenomenon owned part and parcel by the modern left. It seems that the titles have remained intact but the paradigm has shifted.

The tools employed by modern fascists have changed little over the decades since first employed by the likes of Mussolini, Stalin and Hitler. They have taken on a more innocuous tenor but lack none of the repressive undertones of their predecessors and in some cases are more insidious for their “populist” appeal. Think along the lines of land mines hidden in playgrounds.

We can draw parallels in many areas but will limit ourselves to these: Religion, “the common good”, “national crisis”, and environmental activism.

What Obama has shown is that socialism and facism are one and the same. They are just different brand-names for the same totalitarian philosophy. Socialism is the name affixed to the Eastern European brand and facism is the name associated with the Western European brand. In both cases, though, the ruler is supreme, and he controls every aspect of your life, from the economy to your religion. Thus, Hilter effectively banned Judaism, as did Stalin. Stalin also banned Christianity, and Hilter perverted it for his own purposes. Stalin controlled the means of economic production. So did Hitler.

I am struck by the liberals who harp on the socialist definition of “facism.” They say that “facism” is the merger of the corporation and the state. In other words, the state controls the means of production. It’s the same thing, just described in another way.

You have to read the thesis in detail, supported by thoroughly footnoted historical references.Jonah Goldberg has done the best job. This article is so diluted that it is actually somewhat ludicrous.

Photobucket

Obama is:

nationalist socialist ( fascist)

Nationalist: Black Power nationalism, Hewey Newton style, he showed us that in his campaigning for Odinga in 2006/2007 Kenya National Election.

Socialist: Hope and Change redistribution of wealth , destroy US economy, and tax wealth away from rich , diminish wealth and power of the middle class using a combination of job loss, health care use t reduce assets of middle class, and indirect taxation of wealth and reduction iof ivestment ability domestically and internationally.

We are ruled by political correctness ( Goldberg calls this the politics of meaning) rather than governed by law.(Example, the non enforcement of immigration law based on political correctness.)We are no longer a nation of laws.

Beck has been laying this out for a while, much more stridently the last few months.

It is bizarre that many things O is proposing or trying to get enacted would have been a reason to lynch Bush by the masses just a year ago. So the roles reverse and the positions are changed. They are the ones who want government control.

Will the electorate see it with more clarity before it is too late? Or have they/we cashed in all the go back to start cards?

Any more "do overs" left?

What’s behind the scenes at PayPal? Who are the owners? I’ve never liked them nor used them, btw, though I couldn’t tell you why. You should post that as a thread.

There is a thread. I found it after I posted.

Meg Whitman’s ebay bought PayPal. PayPal does not consider itself a bank so I guess they can ban anyone. It does not seem legal to me to single out one person like this.

ebay has a paypal posting board. Time to get the word out. This is CAIR waging war against freedom of speech and PayPal is going along with it.

Have you read this?

It was written years before Goldberg’s excellent book but hits a lot of the same notes.

I had not read that article so thank you for the reference. I studied the history of fascism with one of the great minds in the field, that of Dr. Gilbert Allardyce, in a semester long honors seminar course at the University of New Brunswick ( Canada ) in 1973. I will never forget what I learned there. It has come in very handy of late, but I will not say more here about that.

The article you referenced is worthy of quotation:

Five Facts about Fascism

Over the last 30 years, scholarship has gradually begun to bring us a more accurate appreciation of what Fascism was. (20) The picture that emerges from ongoing research into the origins of Fascism is not yet entirely clear, but it's clear enough to show that the truth cannot be reconciled with the conventional view. We can highlight some of the unsettling conclusions in five facts:

Fascism was a doctrine well elaborated years before it was named. The core of the Fascist movement launched officially in the Piazza San Sepolcro on 23rd March 1919 was an intellectual and organizational tradition called "national syndicalism."

As an intellectual edifice, Fascism was mostly in place by about 1910. Historically, the taproot of Fascism lies in the 1890s--in the "Crisis of Marxism" and in the interaction of nineteenth-century revolutionary socialism with fin de siècle anti-rationalism and anti-liberalism.

Fascism changed dramatically between 1919 and 1922, and again changed dramatically after 1922. This is what we expect of any ideological movement which comes close to power and then attains it. Bolshevism (renamed Communism in 1920) also changed dramatically, several times over.

Many of the older treatments of Fascism are misleading because they cobble together Fascist pronouncements, almost entirely from after 1922, reflecting the pressures on a broad and flexible political movement solidifying its rule by compromises, and suppose that by this method they can isolate the character and motivation of Fascist ideology. It is as if we were to reconstruct the ideas of Bolshevism by collecting the pronouncements of the Soviet government in 1943, which would lead us to conclude that Marxism owed a lot to Ivan the Terrible and Peter the Great.

Fascism was a movement with its roots primarily in the left. Its leaders and initiators were secular-minded, highly progressive intellectuals, hard-headed haters of existing society and especially of its most bourgeois aspects.

There were also non-leftist currents which fed into Fascism; the most prominent was the nationalism of Enrico Corradini. This anti-liberal, anti-democratic movement was preoccupied with building Italy's strength by accelerated industrialization. Though it was considered rightwing at the time, Corradini called himself a socialist, and similar movements in the Third World would later be warmly supported by the left.

Fascism was intellectually sophisticated. Fascist theory was more subtle and more carefully thought out than Communist doctrine. As with Communism, there was a distinction between the theory itself and the "line" designed for a broad public. Fascists drew upon such thinkers as Henri Bergson, William James, Gabriel Tarde, Ludwig Gumplowicz, Vilfredo Pareto, Gustave Le Bon, Georges Sorel, Robert Michels, Gaetano Mosca, Giuseppe Prezzolini, Filippo Marinetti, A.O. Olivetti, Sergio Panunzio, and Giovanni Gentile.

Here we should note a difference between Marxism and Fascism. The leader of a Marxist political movement is always considered by his followers to be a master of theory and a theoretical innovator on the scale of Copernicus. Fascists were less prone to any such delusion. Mussolini was more widely-read than Lenin and a better writer, but Fascist intellectuals did not consider him a major contributor to the body of Fascist theory, more a leader of genius who could distil theory into action.

Fascists were radical modernizers. By temperament they were neither conservative nor reactionary. Fascists despised the status quo and were not attracted by a return to by gone conditions. Even in power, despite all its adaptations to the requirements of the immediate situation, and despite its incorporation of more conservative social elements, Fascism remained a conscious force for modernization.

Orwell defined well liberal/leftist fascism, which is basicaly dominating the other in relative fashion through degradation and lowering standards - using democracy of a mediocre collective to intimidate the few brilliant. It plays on the fear of the “arms race” and duel ruled domination through competition. It’s a coward’s fascism, or fascism made Politcaly Correct, ie. the worst of all fascism because it “looks good” and “nice”.

“the common good”, “national crisis”, and environmental activism.

Let's see Willie, you hit all the high notes:

"Common Good" Check. "Publicly funded light rail suits the common good ACK!"

"National Crisis" Check. "We have a CRISIS in the rail industry ACK!"

"Environmental Activism" Check. "Rail is good for the environment. Rail gets 1 billion trillion gazillion miles per gallon ACK!"

If you're in favor of Government funded rail, you're probably a Fascist.

For several months I have been thinking about all of the damage that the Democratic party has done to this country. When I finally started to write down a list of all of the destructive things that the Democrats have done, I was simply astonished. What kind of people could do all of this damage to their country and then present themselves to the people as their friend. There must be many sociopathic minds in the Democrat party.

Here is a list of what the Democrats have done to this country:

welfare....forced busing....affirmative action....illegal immigration....radical demographic shifts due do massive immigration....,litigious society....ACLU....abortion....tax funding of radicals....out of control government unions....high taxes and high cost of living due to excessive taxation....high cost of living due to excessive government regulation....politicized failing schools....gay marriage....centralization of power in Washington....trillions in government debt....corruption....demeaning America before the world....subverting our national defense and military....abandoning allies to tyrancial enemies....cutting off domestic oil supplies....usurping the peoples’ vote and right to petition by liberal judges....usurping property rights by the distorted imminent domain decision by liberals on the Supreme Court....failure to police abuses on Wall Street....subprime mortgage and bank collapse....anti-white discrimination....subsidizing and promoting illegitimacy....crooked elections....supressing free enterprise

No. The educational system will ensure that the young are not enlightened and the old that are ignorant are not interested in becoming enlightened.

Each year they become more and we become fewer.
