China’s Military Threatens America: ‘We Will Hurt You’
Pajamas Media ^ | June 14 | Gordon Chang

n February, Colonel Meng Xianging promised a “hand-to-hand fight with the U.S.” sometime within the next 10 years “when we’re strong enough.” “We must make them hurt,” said Major-General Yang Yi this year, referring to the United States.

And last month, at the Strategic and Economic Dialogue in Beijing, a Chinese flag officer launched a three-minute rant that stunned the 65 or so American officials in the audience. Everything that is right with U.S. relations with China is due to China, said Rear Admiral Guan Youfei. Everything that is wrong is Washington’s fault. According to Guan, the United States sees China as an enemy.........

I don’t suppose there is any way to determine how much progress they have made in developing EMP or in developing a nuclear arsenal that is the same size as ours or larger. As recently has 5 years ago, I had thought for sure we had by far the largest nuclear arsenal ever, but now our administrations have put ours in the decline and the Chinese are likely working overtime to build it up. I read a report once of some loony “scientist” who honestly wanted us to cut our arsenal down to like 15 nukes or so.

The one saving grace is that even if we are back to the Cold War times, at least the Chinese govt has the sense not to try and create a situation where their whole nation goes up in nuclear smoke, like the Soviets and much unlike the Irani Ayatollahs. Even with our reduced arsenal now I imagine they would not be that likely to risk something like that, though of course North Korea makes for a great proxy. Hopefully we can get a Congress in the nearest elections that will start bringing the nukes back up.

Don’t understand “get FR 100% Obama in a day” What does that mean?

should be “get FR 100% behind Obama in a day”

Pearl Harbor silenced all of FDR's critics, too.

In other words, if we stop subjecting our military, schoolchildren, and businesses to constact social experimentation, we will be able to rebuild and maintain a country that others would not think of attacking.

I think China, during the next few years, will test our resolve by taking Taiwan.

And won't we all be surprised when the Taiwanese people embrace their chinese brothers across the channel?

Why shouldn't Taiwan make a peaceful transition now, and save useless bloodshed on their part? They're not going to get US Naval support from Obama.

America was a free country back then. We are close to a socialist dictatorship now and very weakened by the continuous communist socialist pressure groups for ‘green socialism’ and ‘communist social justice.

Either the “free traitors” what made China strong and wrecked our domestic economy are the ‘useful idiots’ that communists like to employ, or they are fully on board with global communism.

We can’t take anybody on right now or even 10 years from now if our freedom and economy keep declining at this pace.

But even 9/11 did not silence Bush’s critics. They still insisted it was American foregin policy that did this to us. Times have changed a lot since 1940s, people held FDR up to be the US Cult of personality, hence allowing him 4 terms. Even as much as the nation has decayed, there are always going to be portions of the American population who don’t follow behind anyone without question even in wartimes.

China’s objective is to push the USN out to what it regards as, “the second island chain”.

They’ll do several things:

1. Attack the electrical grid
2. Hack GPS
3. EMP attack
4. ASBM against 7th Fleet.

Immediate US deaths will ALL be USN and some USMC so that the Chinese cannot be accused of liquidating US cities.

They’ll rely on the USA just laying down for it, and ceding all of the west Pacific to the PLAN.

The US responses should be to buddy up to India and Singapore, aggressively sell Aegis and long-range missiles to Taiwan. Also sell more ships and subs —not the old stuff.

Do the same for Japan (which now gets stealthy visits from PLAN subs on a monthly basis or more).

And I think they should set up DE and robust submarine facilities in Iwo Jima —a measure that now seems puzzling but later might be handy.

China has two groups of thinkers. One group is make money with US, and US will not screw China to screw good profits. Another group is more cynical. It believes that the US they would never allow another power to rise to theaten its sole superpower position. That is the nature of a sole superpower. When China dominated Asia in the Imperial times, they did it, logically why shouldn’t the US? Ever since Tianamen Square, and the subsequent arms embargo, Chinese US relations went down hill and never recovered.

During the 1st Clinton Admin, a high-ranking PLA general stated, “If the USA must chose between Taiwan and, say, Los Angeles, well, we know what the choice will be...”

So you have to give the Chinese an “A” for honesty.

They have been speaking honestly for...20 years?

Will the USA listen...?

I think not.

If they don’t stop paying more attention to celebrities, then no, the US won’t listen. The US government is in denial right now. The worst part is that we will have to suffer because of the idolated idiocy of our political Mandarin class.

Read the Chinese White Papers. Military attack against Taiwan will happen only if Taiwan formally declares independence from China. Other then that, China will sit and wait for the financial burden of Social Security and Medicare undermind US ability to fund overseas military operations. Their original projection of the US financial deficit crisis will start in 2017 (Social Security outlays larger then tax intakes) followed by the Medicare/Medicaid crisis. Unfortunately Wall Street destroyed our economy and Obama/Dems just hasten our road to the deficit crisis via Obamacare and the Feds kick in with their bailouts and money printing. Social Security is paying out more then they take in right now. Medicare/Medicaid is projected to do the same in 2013. Question now is when the SHTF, will our government seek to divert public despair with a war???!!!

“You have me there. While Obambi is president we are in deep shit.”

I'm certain that if China did attack while 0bama is in charge his strategy would to say, “Stop! or else I will say ‘Stop!’ again”

This is no surprise to anyone who pays attention. Problem is, most of Washington is on the Chinese side in that fight, when it comes.
