Called Wachovia early this morning to reorder checks. In the process, I must have hit a button I wasn't supposed to.

The next thing I hear is a recording. "As of November First, all emergency procedures will be in place, and all Wachovia personnel should stay with their families. If you have any questions, please contact your Sector Supervisor."

Now, I'm not a nut, but the next thing I know an operator came on the line and asked me, by name what they could help me with. Got me looking over my shoulder, and I don't have nerves, just nerve.

For some reason, my large ‘too big to fail” bank is putting a 7 day hold on checks I deposit that are drawn on my brokerage account. Seems they want to see the money before they release the funds to me. This is new and this is unusual as both institutions are large, national/international companies. I am concerned. Very concerned. And this post doesn't ease those concerns...

Wow. What is really crazy about that is the Web Bot Project guy is getting Early November as the timeframe for lots and lots of issues to come to a head.

The caller ID would most likely explain using Shadowstrike’s name . . . however . . . the November thing is yet another of a handful or more confirmations about looming stuff around that time, if not before.

It is entirely possible. It's also possible it was a leftover weather warning. In anticipation of or the result of bad weather/icy roads, a message that told people not to try to come into work? I'm just grasping at non-conspiracy theory answers here.
