It is pretty easy nowadays to write a review of a Pixar movie. Simply write, 'Great!', and end it there...and you would pretty much hit the nail on the head.

The original Toy Story movies were the coming out party for Pixar 15 years ago. They introduced America to a new kind of animation...one that once again drew adults and children. And this movie, as much as any, taps into that.

Rotten Tomatoes has it at 100% positive reviews. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that.

It is not like the first two movies, which were largely fun jaunts through playland. There are serious issues at hand here, including how change affects life.

I thought TS2 also dealt with issues, about the anxiety of being left behind, by those who care about you.

Saw it today and I teared up.

I hope its fun though. If I want to tear up, all I have to do is read the news.

Sounds like it's a really great movie. Unfortunately my “kids” are teens now and wouldn't be interested and I would feel a bit silly going myself, so unless I can corral some of the younger ones at the family get together over the 4th, I most likely will wait for the DVD

I admit...I love Pixar stuff. The one that did disappoint me was Wall-e, but even then, I still got something out of it.

Interestingly, I have always thought “The Incredibles” has some very conservative aspects to it, and I loved “Cars”. I wondered how they would get me to like a movie with animated cars...:)

I had a vacation day so my and I took the kids to the matinee. I highly recommend this movie. The short before it is quite puzzling though. DAY and NIGHT seems to be taking a jab at talk radio, maybe others can offer their thoughts.

Saw the movie today with my two kids and wife. My kids loved it and my wife DID tear up. It was very good.

Yeah, that short Day and Night was a little headscratching there. Pretty neat eyecandy, but plot? But TS3 rocked.

the jab at talk radio would not surprise me considering the whole concept of their last movie, Wal-E

Both Michael Medved and the guy who does the reviews on Hugh Hewitt both say it’s a good one. Now I have to see it.

Every once in awhile a topic will come up here on FR where I have no idea what is being discussed. I assume this is some sort of cartoon movie. since I don’t do movies (except oldies on TV occasionally) it would appear that I’m missing something. Strange, I thought the last good cartoon was Bugs Bunny. LOL

There’s a lot of moments that’ll have you laughing silly.

Try and catch all the references to the previous two TS movies.

I just saw it tonight...and LOVED it. Awesome...I teared up...and my adult age daughter cried...at the ending (she and her fiance took her younger brothers and I to see it (long story). PaDad doesn’t ‘like’ movie theatres...so he stayed home.

The whole series is just awesome...and I can see how (no spoiler) there can be a fourth ;) (I think ‘Dollie’ has designs on Woody)...my 13 year old (who was anxious to see TS3) said of the ending ‘how would they subtitle Buzz in Mexico???’

LOL...I highly recommend...and the Day and Night thing...awesome animation...but I took it as ‘seeing the good in everyone...’
