You should look up the NRA’s mission. It isn’t to elect conservatives, it’s to elect pro-2nd Amendment candidates and protect the 2nd Amendment.

Everything you wished they do is outside the scope of their mission (with the exception of stuff over 40 years ago).

Can LaPierre explain why he’s seen schmoozing with HARRY FRICKIN’ REID on the pages of this month’s NRA Magazine American Rifleman?

First, just as there is no such animal as a "pro-life" democrat politician, there is no such thing as a "pro-gun" democrat politician. Just as there is no such thing as a "pro-AMERICAN" or "pro-FREEDOM" democrat politician anymore. This is no longer the party of of Scoop Jackson, JFK or Zell Miller.

Voting for a democrat these days means voting for your own slavery!

For almost 100 years, the NRA has been selling out gun-owners, just a nibble at a time.

SCREW the NRA!

★ FREEDOM! ★

>> I don’t think it will help the Second Amendment cause for people to stop supporting the NRA financially.

I don’t know about that. Holding back might trigger change opposed to unloading money (not that I am) on bad policy.

AND FOR ALL YOU IGNORANT ANTIGUN NRA HATING IDIOTS:

1. The NRA didn’t become a lobbying group until 1974.

2. While whiners complain about mail, guys like me get out the checkbook.

3. The NRA fought against Parker, not Heller. That’s because Parker was filed before Roberts and Alito. We would have lost. The NRA knows how to count to the number nine.

4. The goa has never done a single thing in it’s entire history. It’s the NRA and the SAF that filed all those lawsuits.

5. The “R” in the NRA stands for rifle. Not Republican. Get rid of Reid AFTER taking control of Congress or you’ll be whining about gun control and pleading for the NRA again. As always.

6. The antigunners hate the NRA just as much as some freepers. That explains the mentality of some freepers.

7. The media doesn’t know the name of any progun group other than the NRA. That should tell you something but you’re too stupid to understand.

8. The goa is the only gun group that asked the Supreme Court to take the narrow view. So far, they haven’t filed a single lawsuit to take responsibility for their actions. It’s the NRA and the SAF that filed all those lawsuits.

9. Lazy, stupid people always have an excuse not to get involved.

Well said. Further, for everyone who insists that NRA is bad, try listening to that audio. LaPierre says he did not support the DISCLOSE Act and did not cut a deal with anyone over it.

“Well they should oppose it, anyway.”

No problem.

What other changes would you like NRA to make? Are your taxes too high? NRA can begin a campaign to lower the income tax rate. Don’t like healthcare? The NRA can campaign to reform the healthcare bill. How about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Surely the NRA can cause the House of Representatives to investigate these two institutions for impropriety.

Support gun rights? Oh, they’re too busy doing all that other stuff, and they ran out of money. Perhaps the American Civil Liberties Union will support it instead.

How many of you actually know what a WEDGE ISSUE is?

First, just as there is no such animal as a "pro-life" democrat politician, there is no such thing as a "pro-gun" democrat politician.

If you believe that, how do you explain the refusal of those in power to hear Holder's request for a new assault weapon ban? How do you explain NO more restrictive gun laws this Congress (and even loosening of national park CCW laws)?

You can't credit it to Democrats caring about re-election, because so much of what they have done (health care) points to the fact that they don't care.

Face it - some Democrats are pro-gun. It's not as partisan of an issue as you make it. The vast majority are not, but it's important the NRA makes friends with those who are, for circumstances like this.

Plus, the NRA has a looong memory, and doesn't take to backstabbing well. Why do you think they endorsed Ted Strickland over John Kaisich in Ohio?

This is a classic divide and conquer strategy that is as old as time. Not only will it divide and hurt the NRA, it will pit gun owner associations and gun owners against one another.

Passage of this bill depends on the NRA not fighting it. It's obvious that's what the progressives believe or they would not be offering the NRA a deal. It's third grade level stuff as Mr. LaPierre described in the interview above.

What's likely to happen is the exemption will never make it into the final bill Obama signs. Look around, they're doing this with other bills or using executive orders to circumvent what they don't like.

In one fell swoop, the progressive will have the gun owners fighting one another, wounded the associations and limited everyone's ability to fight their final gun grab and implementing their other shopping list of agendas.

It'll happen so fast you'll be left more dizzy and confused than you already are. Mr. Lapierre just screwed the poodle again by getting in bed with these people. You can't trust them. Our only chance in the short time we have remaining is to stand together and support each other in the fight to protect ALL of our freedoms.

Don't let a bunch of overbearing thugs or backroom deals silence you or discourage you from fighting back or at least raising hell.

Breaking: House Dems Preparing Thursday DISCLOSE Act Vote to Muzzle Pro-life, Pro-family Groups

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 17, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Delayed, but not undaunted, the leadership of the Democrat-controlled U.S. Congress may force a Thursday vote on a new campaign finance bill, the Orwellian-named “Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act” that has pro-life, pro-family groups, and even the ACLU crying foul. Critics say the measure will have a chilling effect on political free speech, especially with mid-term elections just around the corner. Late Wednesday afternoon, National Right to Life Legislative Director Douglas Johnson told LifeSiteNews.com that the House Rules Committee was meeting at that moment to make...

From the article above:

Once passed by the House and Senate and signed into law by President Barack Obama, the act would take effect in 30 days, even if the Federal Elections Commission has not yet crafted new guidelines – just in time for the mid-term elections in November.

Both H.R. 5175, and its Senate companion legislation, both contain a “severability clause” that will keep parts of the bill alive, if the U.S. Supreme Court strikes down any section of the bill.

What are you going to say to the members Mr. Wayne LaPierre when, not if, the exemption for the NRA is struck down?

AND FOR ALL YOU IGNORANT ANTIGUN NRA HATING IDIOTS:

Oh I forgot its ‘ole 2.5, the GOA hating NRA member…

Here is a thread where you spewed your typical, and not very enlightened, rant without listening to a word someone else says… Typical 2.5 whining rant about the GOA.

and here you are in another thread and using your typical whining rant with me… 2.5 gets the real facts and then gets caught in a couple of, well let’s say factual distortions.

And again even after being confronted by facts defeating your position you continue to defend the indefensible.

So even after getting your butt severely kicked to the curb, you continue to resort to distortions, twisting everyone’s words and in some cases; out right lying about your actions in attempting to defend your weak bias.

Even so, I tried to reach out over a year later and help you see the error of your non-question, but you again went back to your old ways.

Many people have answered your stupid questions and countered your stands innumerous times… you just refuse to see it. Point is if you can’t have an honest debate fighting a common enemy, then do everyone else a favor… stay on the sidelines and argue with yourself, don’t try to distort the focus of this fight.

Every 2A group, no matter what you may think of them should be WELCOMED to the struggle we are facing, many former NRA members, myself included, who definitely have no love for the NRA leadership have been going back into the group because the stakes are so high, don’t let your petty bias cloud the big picture.

AOV sends with warmest regards.

I hear you chick.......last straw for me was when I found out one of the muslim terrorist front groups, CAIR, had an agenda setter, lobbyist, fund raiser and overall heavy hitter named grover norquist who was ALSO a long time NRA board member!!!!!!! and the NRA knew ALL along of his anti-American work for CAIR and did nothing to remove him. the once greatest org. in America imho, the NRA, infiltrated by a muslim terrorist enabler and they, with NO mistake about it, looked the other way. still hard for this old guy to get his head around it but it is well known now about the norquist/CAIR/NRA scandal.
