So it looks like the classic 1984 war film Red Dawn, starring Patrick Swayzee and Charlie Sheen, is being remade. This time, though, the Chinese will be the invaders. If you haven’t seen the original, you should definitely check it out. Red Dawn was listed as #15 on National Review Online’s list of the Best Conservative Movies.
i thought that the red dawn remake was put on hold since MGM was in financial trouble
MGM is NOT going any further with this movie due to MGM’s money problems.

Boycott all Hollywood remakes...they all suck.
One of my all time favorite movies, sounds good so far if they are considering using the Chi coms as the bad guys, usually hollyweird makes all the bad guys neo nazis or something (everyone hates Nazis so they won’t offend anyone).
I believe principle photography was already completed, and the movie is in post. That could still mean that it's a ways from being complete, to say nothing of any re-shoots that might be required. But, it's quite likely that the script details, including who is the antagonist, has already leaked out.
So, will it be a documentary using actual footage or is Hollyweird going to use actors until the real deal happens? /sarc...sort of

The remake will not be like the original.
It will have a liberal message for sure.

Of course, these supporters fail to realize that Mao would have made mincemeat out of all of them. He never would have taken on such ill disciplined scum as these idiots. For the life of me I will never understand why these vaunted Leftists will never face the fact that they are the very ones that Mao would merrily shoot right after a takeover.
All these supporters don’t really grasp the revolution that Mao was trying to bring about, not one based on such lax practices, but REAL change and not the way the stupid Hollywood elitists think. These actors and actresses who support Mao don’t understand that they would not have a chair at the table of power. They would be at the very bottom and lowest of the low.
From what I know, the Chinese loathe blacks, so there wouldn’t be any collaboration there.
