Not really better, especially when one figures in the lower effectiveness (and therefore numerous of the others’ ability to use less by comparison).
But the fact is that Corexit is breaking up the oil into constituent compounds, instead of allowing it to rise to the surface naturally, in congealed and relatively safe masses, able to be skipped, absorbed, and suctioned (with all those skimmers that these fascists are not using).
Rather, the poisons are now guaranteed to make their way up the Atlantic and to cause more havoc in the Gulf.
That is a different argument. And I am convinced of the correctness of the experts who say that breaking down the oil is much better than leaving it untouched, because it is impossible to contain and collect before it fouls up everything.
Be convinced if you need but approximately 23 of hundreds and hundreds of skimmers are being used (Why?) and Corexit breaks up the otherwise skimmable crude.
There is no place for Obama to hide, certainly not behind BP’s skirts.
Can’t be true!!.....
EPA study finds controversial Gulf dispersant is not a serious risk

The Environmental Protection Agency said Wednesday that testing has shown that Corexit, the controversial chemical dispersant presently being dumped into the Gulf of Mexico to combat the oil spill, is practically nontoxic to slightly toxic.
In a statement posted to the agencys website, the EPA announced that none of the eight dispersants tested, including the product in use in the gulf, displayed biologically significant endocrine disrupting activity. The dispersants were tested on shrimp and small fish, but not on humans.”..........
But what about the crap that’s in the air?

Thank you, Kimberly.
However, the main problem with Corexit seems to be the very work of its being a dispersant. It breaks up the petroleum into its constituent parts. Therefore, instead of the naturally congealed crude coming to the surface, many toxins are released into the seawater.
Also, see the chart linked above, which shows the existence or other dispersants of less intrinsic toxicity.
