Here is video of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs giving an answer that mocks and insults Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl about his assertion that President Obama told him in a one-on-one meeting that he would not secure the border because “you guys” (Republicans) won’t support Comprehensive Immigration Reform if we do.
Gibbs has said Obama never made the statement, while Kyl has steadfastly stood by his account. Gibbbs tried to make out like Kyl had retreated from his assertion, and mocked Kyl for having three opinions on the matter. Actually, Kyl only said he meant that “the Left” is trying to hold border security “hostage” to CIR, not the President specifically. But Kyl has never retreated on Obama’s statement that he won’t secure the border because “you guys” won’t support CIR.
Actually, what Gibbs was doing here, was dodging the question.

What is also repugnant is that punk, Gibbs, who couldn’t be elected trash collector, speaking so disrespectfully about a U.S. Senator. But that is the tone of the whole administration: no sense of decency, no respect for anyone except America’s enemies.

The really shocking thing is not that Obama made the mistake of choosing this guy as press spokesman in the first place - but rather that he has such a tin ear that he cannot sense what a horrendous image this guy is generating for the Obama Administration each and every day. It will be a sweet thing when he (Gibbs) loses his job, even sweeter when his boss is retired.
Obama could prove Kyl wrong by securing the borders. That would show him!
So, Bob, when is the President going to secure the border to prove Sen. Kyl wrong?

That’s right, and all of it punctuated with his high-pitched giggle, so unbecoming of a male Press Secretary. Now, if my fantasy were to come to life and Mike Huckabee were Press Sec’y. in a Palin administration, things like this would never happen.

FNC just ran a story about AZ off duty officers being targeted by Mexican drug cartels because they dared to seize drugs after they caught them coming across the border in Nogales.
While the officer was speaking, FNC ran clips showing all the illegals scampering and climbing over our border. Drove the point home nicely.

Part of the reason some Americans , LEOs among them, may have seemed very brave compared to much of the world's population, is knowing the people(i.e. government) had their backs . Remember when "You can't do this to me I'm an American" was not a sad punch line in an action film?
