On the heels of the public statements, sworn testimony, and articles published by DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams here at PJM, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) today released a four-page letter he sent to President Obama requesting he commence an independent investigation into the New Black Panther case dismissal.
Smith writes:
If [Adams'] allegations are true, it means that the Justice Department has become politicized and only an independent entity can effectively investigate this matter.

Had these two individuals been members of the Ku Klux Klan, I doubt the Justice Department would have dropped the charges.
Copied on the letter are Attorney General Eric Holder — the man at the center of the firestorm — and Congressman John Conyers (D-MI). Conyers is chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary.

IMO, this puts them on notice AGAIN that this isn’t going to go away. the thousand cuts.... I, for one, am proud of the courage of Rep. Smith!
The “Justice Department” has placed itself above the law. Who will prosecute the lawbreakers and send its higherups to jail?
It won’t happen but wouldn’t it be great to see a special counsel prosecute Holder and a few of his cronies in federal court?

Isn’t Smith the congressman that got Holder all tied up in knots over who the people doing all the killing and bombing are? Guess he’s decided to be a thorn in the big idiot’s side.
Yes, and it all goes along with Holder and Obama’s no War on Terror or mentioning Radical Islam. I think Smith has Holder’s number and knows how to push his button.
We’ll see them again in six months.
