Charles Krauthammer: "The only people who are going to buy it are going to be very rich people who are going to park it outside their townhouse for ostentatious show of how virtuous they are while they drive around in their Cadillac Escalade."
"This is a classic example of what happens when the political and ideological desires of an administration are imposed on a private company...It's not how many jobs you create or even save, it's can you sell a product in the market that will make a profit? Otherwise, it's a farce."

The only must-watch on FNC is between 6:40 and 7pm EST.
Dr Charles is unmatched.
At 7, when the queer comes on, it gets flipped to Seinfeld on TBS.
Is it true that these things come with permanent Obama bumper stickers already attached?
Krauthammer does NOT get it.
The disaster is Obama, Krauthammer’s Harvard hero,
and pres_ _ent Obama’s post-Marxist, antiAmerican agenda.
The disaster is, and was, Krauthammer’s dismal failure to
be honest and to share Obama’s real differential
diagnosis.
Though why he was SO clueless about Obama during the campaign of '08 I'll never understand.
I agree, he seemed almost smitten by him during the ‘08 campaign.
Or, Two and-a-half Men on WDCW-50.
Lost count of how many times I scanned over this title thinking it said, "Cherry"...
Isn’t Chuckles talking out both sides of his mouth? He advocates a higher gasoline tax precisely so we’ll work towards new “green” technologies.
The median household income in 2008 was $52,026. The Volt’s $40k + price comes on top of the billions of dollars of government bailout money. Just divide that bailout and union wealth transfer by the number of units sold over the life of the bailout and I am confident it will amount to at least another $1,000 per unit on top of the $7,500 in federal tax credits for that class of vehicle.
This is shameful distortion of the economics of the Volt. The car in theory is all well and good, but not only is the price still way beyond the reach of the median US family, when it is recharged at home, it is recharged by burning mostly coal.
In the end, it is just an expensive diversion by liberals in denial of energy and fuel realities.
put a lock on all outside plugs.
post signs that say no e-charging cars.
terminate the volt before it has a chance.
Being an electric car, it would also seem that if someone wanted to add some cool electronic features it would decrease the battery power. It may even require additional batteries which will add a lot more money to the already $41,000 base price.
Fascists aren’t what they used to be - at least Hitler’s VW was a good design, cheap and rugged.
So, what is it that a real conservative does not get?
“Will I always get 40 miles on an electric charge?”
“No. Like any electric vehicle, Volt’s electric miles per charge will vary. Like all vehicles, electric vehicles are less efficient in extremely hot or cold temperatures. In addition to outside temperatures, use of features like air conditioning and heat, personal driving style, additional cargo in the vehicle and the age of the battery will affect the electric range.”
In other words, the fools who buy this crap deserve to be $41,000 poorer.
