5 Reasons Why Meeting with Ahmadinejad is a Stupid Idea–even for Obama
Iran Bulletin ^ | 13 August 10 | Unattributed

A report has surfaced in the British press indicating that President Barack Obama is set to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. (Increasingly, the British press is playing the role of watchdog when it comes to the Obama administration since US “journolists” have become essentially messengers for the regime.)

In this case, as Obama promised in his presidential campaign, he is reportedly set to meet directly with the Iranian president. Readers may recall that during the campaign Obama spun this idea by claiming that he was “not afraid” to meet with Ahmadinejad.

This is a foolish concept.

Meeting with Ahmadinejad is a mistake on several levels:

Meeting with Aquadinnerjacket (who took part in storming the US embassy) is an insult to the embassy hostages, whose kidnapping represents the start of the 30 year war with Iran.

I don’t know what the security protocol is when it comes to foreign heads of state, but since we all know that the Iranian president is certifiably wacko what would stop him from assassinating any leader that he comes in contact with? Are foreign leaders searched by the Secret Service or are they given a courtesy pass?

This is such a witless idea that I am convinced Obama will try to do it at some point. Maybe this will be his October surprize.

‘...stupid — even for Obama’

Well, he’s never disappointed on this front. When you think he couldn’t possibly eclipse his last fiasco there he goes proving you wrong. It totally wouldn’t surprise me if he met openly with I’m A Nut Job doing his usual bowing/groveling/apologizing routine.

John Bolton: Russia’s Loading of Nuke Fuel Into Iran Nuclear Plant Means Aug. 21 Deadline for Israeli Attack
Friday, August 13, 2010 01:41 PM

By: David A. Patten

News that Russia will load nuclear fuel rods into an Iranian reactor has touched off a countdown to a point of no return, a deadline by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran’s Bushehr reactor before it becomes effectively “immune” to any assault, says former Bush administration U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton.

Once the fuel rods are loaded, Bolton told Fox News on Friday afternoon, “it makes it essentially immune from attack by Israel. Because once the rods are in the reactor an attack on the reactor risks spreading radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf.
