Quite frankly I didn’t take any joy from that zot. I don’t suppose the Boss did either. That poster used to be a good Freeper and ran a local chapter. Something went wrong with him (the poster). I can’t imagine having a friend turn on you and having to zot him.

Whatever That Poster used to be -- and I'm perfectly willing to accept the notion, at face value, that he had some demonstrable worth at some point -- he'd been not only descended into barking, frothing madness long since, but took inordinate pride in a smugly elevated level of overall trollishness, as well. Plainly and simply: he was stinking up the joint. BIG time.
I'm more genuinely sorry on your behalf, ultimately, than I could ever be on his. You miss a one-time friend, and I absolutely sympathize with that.
