New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave remarks last night at an Iftar dinner he hosted at Gracie Mansion, with Daisy Khan, wife of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, and Ground Zero mosque developer Sharif el-Gamal in attendance. In part, Bloomberg said this:
"If we say that a mosque and community center should not be built near the perimeter of the World Trade Center site ... we would undercut the values and principles that so many heroes died protecting. We would send a signal around the world that Muslim-Americans may be equal in the eyes of the law, but separate in the eyes of their countrymen. And we would hand a valuable propaganda tool to terrorist recruiters who spread the fallacy that America is at war with Islam."
Imam Rauf, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the rest of the Islamists advocate for discrimination; they all work to impose sharia law here is America. We should send a couple of signals. First, America will not tolerate a mosque and "cultural center" being built overlooking where like-minded Muslims slaughtered 2,752 people. And we will never incorporate discriminatory sharia law into our rule of law.
Just for the record: the heroes of 9/11 died saving lives, not "values and principles." In addition, it was Mayor Bloomberg who separated Muslims from Americans by calling them "Muslim-Americans." Have you ever heard anyone call Baptists "Baptist-Americans" or Episcopalians "Episcopalian-Americans?"

We must not allow our laws and principles be used against us. This article makes a good point: Sharia law is discriminatory, and this must be publicly emphasized over and over.

These people are just so intent on grouping everyone into classes.....Muslim-Americans, African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Asian-Americans.....and then the eeeeeeeeeeeevil WASPs!
We are not questioning the right for people to worship; all we’re saying is don’t build the mosque at Ground Zero!
I mean, these people say we need to be “tolerant” towards Muslims.......well, when they allow us to build churches in Mecca, we’ll get back to them!
Not a one of the victims of 9/11, or the thousands of soldiers who have died in its aftermath, have died to defend the slaughter of innocent Americans by muslime fanatics, or to protect their right to build sanctuaries where such slaughters can be planned.
This is not about religion. It is about embracing our enemies while they reach for the dagger they will use to cut our throats.

We can honor Ground Zero best by opposing this Victory Mosque/Headquarters/Recruitment Center being built ANYWHERE in New York, not just Ground Zero-—for me 6 or 60 blocks away amounts possibly to an even bigger “win” for Rauf and his team. They can then publicly lick their wounds while being seen as moderates willing to compromise. THey are anything BUT moderates, though they might be willing to play the part of moderates to get what they want.
The biggest NEW NEWS right now, is that , lacking any real details about Rauf’s prospective sources of funding (the biggest talking point heretofore), FOX news is now after his developer El-Gamal, following him everywhere and trying to get information as to where this ex-waiter got so much money to make a big splash into the world of New York Real Estate. THe FOX news report exposed a lot, and this guy Gamal, looks like TOny Reszko on super-steroids, and with an
Islamic Stealth-Jihad ambition. Keep tabs on that! THAT is going to be the big story; exposing Gamal, and ALSO his possible connections to Hollywood Celebs, who he hobnobbed with as a waiter, could bring EVERYTHING crashing down.
Muslims always change the name of the cities they capture. I wonder what the Islamofascist have in mind for NYC.

Bloomberg reminds me of the Jews who helped the Nazis round up other Jews for the railway cars in the hope they would be left alone.

Bloomb seems to be of the opinion that 9/11 was an attack on New York City. There are enough Americans already who despise everything that New York City stands for without its mayor adding fuel to the fire.
