In a demonstration of the overwhelming support of mainstream America for conservative principles, Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. is drawing 'hundreds of thousands,' according to McClatchy Newspapers.
Early reports indicate that so large is the crowd that attendees were having difficulty hearing the speakers. A quick scan of mainstream news outlets that have done actual estimates this morning indicates that attendance at this point is between 300,000 and 500,000 people.
And attendees are still arriving at the rally, which began some 90 minutes ago.
Newsbusters is live-streaming the event.
Michelle Malkin reports that as early as 7:30 AM there were already 100,00 peope gathered at the site.
Reporters on the ground, however, state that the claim of 500,000 attendees is grossly underestimated. A more accurate assessment of the crowd may well turn out to be between 500,000 and 1 million.

Does anyone think it is a coincidence that Hussein is on vacation this week- away from the Oval Office?
Now it is full all the way to people gathered at the Washington Monument. Amazing crowd!”
Where was Al Sharpton- The Grand Pooh Bah PIMP—going to try & hold his counter rally?
I feel sure a good portion of those people are Christians. Can you imagine the impact if the Rapture happened while they were there?
>Its like Woodstock with soap and without the drugs.<
And less than 80% of the participants have head lice ..
(you know because they don’t want to use chemicals on their skin .. as opposed to dropping acid and putting them in their brains)
>Maybe that jackass in the white house will wake the hell up and realize what a piece of crap he is.<
Only if the easter bunny escorted by his Imman tells him so .. otherwise .. forget it. Ain’t gonna happen.
BTTT.
Great pics! I love how so much of the crowd is wearing red, white, and blue. There is hope for this nation yet!
Lived in DC area for the most of the last 18 years. This is the largest event in my memory.
Best part was that there no signs, lots of flags and no stinking hippies in sight. All the people were wearing clean clothes (except for the bums) all looked freshly showered, although some drove all night to get there and some stayed on the mall overnight and there were no drum circles, no “teach-ins”, no burning flags and no clouds of pot polluting the environment, which means there were no democrats.
Wow!!! hadn’t thought of that. Goose Bumps.
Watched it on cspan while monitoring facebook....Many were checking in from around the country...Remember one post from Japan and couple of military that didn’t give the location. Worse thing about facebook were the devil’s minions that were harrassing the posters. Lots of prayers given for their salvation.
59 photos and the only one of a black person was of Dr. Alveda King, when there were several dozen black pastors and a scattering of blacks in the crowd.
Wow! From the original article: “Update 5—This aerial photo indicates the crowd may well number upwards of 1 million!”
I noticed the sections created by temporary barriers, and wndered if there were counters at the gates that would count the attendees by section, though I am not certain that would work. If so, it would be the most accurate count ever.
The trees throw off the visual count...if another photo of the mall was found with a big rally in the winter with an estimate - could make a good call here on numbers...
Except for war vets
Crowd estimates, early reports from Beck's 'restoring honor' rally (with updates)
"...Update 5--This aerial photo indicates the crowd may well number upwards of 1 million!..."
This photo won't be on MSM news for obvious reasons. The turnout was gigantic. I hope Beck has bodyguards!
It was packed under the trees, on both sides. When I say packed, people were shoulder to shoulder, sharing blankets. Whatever the media states, multiply it by 1.5 and that’ll be the number. People were streaming in when we had to leave at 12:30 and it was getting more crowded.
