Time and time again, I read in websites and blogs around the internet the question and puzzling paradox posed by Gentiles who strongly support Israel, how can it be that so many Jews continue to blindly vote for ultra-liberal causes that are inherently ultra-critical of Israel and even subliminally of Jews.

They are upset over the close Israeli-American friendship and wish to be absolved from the heinous charge that they once may have actually subscribed to a sense of Jewish solidarity when that meant only solidarity with victimhood—the Jews as eternal martyrs.

Once the party choice was made, many of them weren't going to change, despite the evidence in front of them that the Dems are really bad news, and increasingly anti-Semitic with the passing of time.
Party choice is a funny thing--Even I, a GOP leaning Independent with some libertarian leanings, keep coming back to the GOP like a battered wife. Hope springs eternal, I guess.
The vast majority of American Jews are simply leftists who HAPPEN to be Jews. Indeed, they are only Jews when convenient or profitable to make the claim.
When those of faith “reform” until they have little or no faith they fall for secular flim flams like socialism and it's twin “unpragmatic deeds that fail but feel good anyway.”
Seems a whole lot of otherwise rational people want to commit "suicide by delusions of virtue” like Kamikazes Leftists and Islamists. Sad thing is they rarely perish alone.

Well, my personal observations don't go back as far as pre-WWII, and my sample space is small. But, I don't think it's nonsense for those I observed.
Curiously, and supporting your view, I've heard that a good number of Russian Bolshevik revolutionaries were Jewish, until Stalin cleaned house.
My parents were traditional Brooklyn liberal Democrats until my grandparents died. Then when Reagan came into office they became conservatives.
I think a lot of is was respect for that generation of European Jewish Socialists that came to America and got greeted in the new world by the Democrats/Communists.
The author is way off on that too, Obama only got 78% of the Jewish vote, Gore got 79%, and Clinton got 80%, the Jewish vote (since 1916) has been in the 80s for 5 times and hit 90% three times. Since 1916, Obama's total of the Jewish vote was exceeded 10 times and more if you count the combined anti-Republican vote, because Jews will vote in large numbers to the left of the Democat party if they can.
The Jewish, anti-Republican vote was already comfortably in the 70s by the time that pre-Hitler, and pre-war Roosevelt picked up his 82% in 1932.
Liberal Jews despise Fundamentalist Christians more than anything. When the fundies became rich, powerful and influential with the advent of TV and mega churches then the hatred became visceral. Pity. Jews should just get a thicker skin. The fundies mean them no harm.
Social justice uses the same concepts of evil (emotionalism, altruism, collectivism, statism, socialism) that the Nazis used. If the Jews want to avoid a repeat, they should be for the opposite.
The best term(s) - ascribed to Dennis Prager - is Jews in Gene Only -JIGO or Jews in Name Only - JINO.
Israel and the whole culture of Yahudim (one who belongs to Yah’s family) have been plagued with traitorous members since Moses had lead them out of Egypt, crossed northern Arbia, and after 40 years brought them to the Jordan River and the Promised Land.
So it is no surprise today that the same sort of Jews who talked against/vilified those who would try to leave Germany in 1935-6/Poland in 1938-9 and get to the emerging Israel (and become a sabra), would want to be considered OK now and yet be a heathen/atheist and a traitor to their cousins.
A Sabra they would/will never be - they might be called upon to do some “dirty work” like kill a few Muslims or spread some manure in the desert.
I’ve had a Jewish friend years ago who fit this mold exactly. To him socialism WAS his religion, not Judaism. He thought,as these socialist/Marxists truly believe that they really are so much more enlightened and know better than we the proletariat and if they can just get the right ‘’leader’’(cult of personality) they’ll get to Utopia. No matter how much of someone’s else sweat and how many millions die to get there. They never learn.
Maybe some of it is the “please eat me last” mentality. Fawn on the people in power who hate your group in order to make them think that you are really not part of the hated group. Support actions aimed at harming your group to show that you are really not one of them. Then they will not turn against you until the rest of the group is eliminated. You will live a little longer.

Why is it so damn important to you and why is this topic repeating itself once a week? Get your New Testament brothers and sisters in-line first before ranting about Jews. You Freepers are borderline obsessive.
Why? My family’s Jewish, way back, on my Mom’s side. PFiesterer, or something like that. And my borderline-obsessive ranting is the flip side of Bammy-the-Community-Organizer-Sociologist’s explanations to his enlightened San Fransisco donors why we bitter, benighted, gun-clingy rural Pennsylvanians, unlike the vast, overwhelming majority of American Jews, weren’t rushing to gobble the “free” health insurance he was offering to feed us, or maybe we Freeps are just subconsiously collaborating on a response to Frank Jordan’s “What’s the Matter with Kansas?” and other such drivel. So, want us to stop discussing the “Jew Vote”? Get Jews to stop voting 80%+ for ever-larger government, ever-higher taxes, and ever-more abortions, every election, and we’ll shut up.
