It's Diverse Tea Time

FreedomWorks has released a new media campaign to highlight diversity in the Tea Party Movement. Called Diverse Tea, the campaign includes a website and a newspaper ad that reads in part, "We are black, brown, and white. We are Jew and gentile. We are from different communities, various backgrounds, and all races, colors, and creeds. We will Take America Back, not from Democrats or Republicans, but from an arrogant political class that puts its interests before those of all Americans."

The TEA Party movement is not about diversity, it's about America. It's not about individuals, or individual races, it's about America.

America has always been known as the "melting pot", with more tolerance and diversity that any nation on the planet.

The TEA party movement is NOT about a "party", it's about America. It has no "leader", it's people-driven and welcomes all races, creeds and religion who share the common values of the Constitution and America.

We in the TEA party movement will not play the "affirmative action" quota game...if you want to join and you're not an troublemaker, welcome...if you don't want to join then don't sit on the outside whining that you're "not welcome"...YOU decide if you want to join, not the TPM.

They are going to have to take a different tact than race if they want to take digs at the TPM, no one is excluding any one, if you don't want to be part of it, it's your choice, and you have freedom of choice - it's one of the things the TPM is fighting for...you freedom.

I think this is a mistake. By responding to it, FreedomWorks is lending a credibility they do not merit.

Ignore them or laugh. They just can’t stand that. The very idea of racism is absurd. We are Americans. We love our nation and the principles it was founded on.

How sad it is that those of us, who have never been racist in our lives, are now becoming more resentful because of a President who is more White than Black and his political agenda.

He has caused this to happen by his own words and deeds.
