Anjem Choudary, former spokesman for the radical Muslim group Islam4UK, and his followers burned the U.S. and British flags outside the U.S. embassy in London on September 11. The group was banned this past year on January 12 by the British government under counter-terrorism laws. However, the then British Home Secretary Alan Johnson said: “It is already proscribed under two other names – Al Ghurabaa and The Saved Sect”.
According to the group, this was done as a counter-protest to the planned Quran burning in the United States– that never actually happened. (Jump below video to read more on the group)

If they had burned a Koran, it would be a “hate crime”.

Even Neville Chamberlain would not have been as spineless as many in the West are today.

I think we ought to use Korans to beat the flames out.
FYI, the proper way to dispose of the Koran is to burn it; so I submit that after we beat the flames out of Old Glory, we discreetly burn the flag to destroy it in an honorable manner - then toss the partially burnt Korans in the Compost pile with the coffee grounds, dog and cat feces.
What does he have against crackers, anyway? Especially in view of the great service performed on behalf of Islam by Jimmuh Carter.
